ConcernedCruiseDad
I am leaving with my family on Harmony of the Seas for an 8 day cruise of the Eastern Caribbean. Our stops are CocoCay on 6/25, Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas on 6/27, and Philipsburg, St Maarten on 6/28. Hurricane Bret is looking like its headed right for the Eastern Caribbean, with a second storm headed right behind it. How likely will this effect our trip? Would they keep us completely away from that area or risk getting close? And how long will the cruise line wait to notify us of possible changes? I know that my family and I should be safe, but I am wondering if they will still sail into stormy weather. AKA will I be having a wet and windy cruise or will they actually bring us far enough away that we see sunshine?
ConcernedCruiseDad
Looks like its been downgraded to a Tropical Storm already, so that's good. But there is still a second storm behind it.
Geronimo
I asked the same question as I sail a few days after you. Everyone has reassured me we will be safe and not to worry. I will say I have watched a few videos lately that showed some pretty stormy weather onboard other cruise lines ships!!
OCSC Mike
It's not a hurricane and not even expected to become one anymore.

Enjoy your cruise on Harmony and relax, the captain will do the leg work to steer the ship into the more favorable weather. Photo taken last night on Harmony and my family mentioned the weather has been great! PPPJJ-GCVAB and WAAAYTOOO
