cougarred
First time cruiser during the later part of the year. We leave Galveston for a 7 day to Roatan, Cozumel, and Costa a couple days after Thanksgiving. Is it breezy (or chilly) on the ship at night during that time? billdauterive
It can be but not guaranteed. It always depends on the weather that week. It's also possible (although rare) to be really cold to the point of needing a coat when outside. Its also possible to be really warm to the point of sweating even in shorts. I would recommend looking at the forecast as you get closer to know if there will be an extreme. "Normally" you'll probably just need a jacket at night that time of year. cougarred
TexanTwoStep
There's a popular saying down here in Texas regarding the weather Don't like it? Wait five minutes and it'll change! Seriously, it could be 10 degrees or 100 degrees when you leave at that time of year. Wind could be blowing out of the north at 40 mph or dead calm. However, night time the winds USUALLY calm down around here. cougarred
Kathleen
Yes, we are sailing from Galveston in January and figured it will be a good day before it warms.
wordell1
I wouldn't expect it to be cold in November. January can go either way but it would normally be mild. Last year, it was VERY cold.
Ampurp85
We did the Allure itinerary this past Jan on Oasis from Miami, it was 55. The locals were all in coats and asking us where ours was. Being from Chicago, 55 was hot. By the second day it was so humid even shorts were too hot. So, I think bring a light jacket and maybe the longest attire for the first day but once you sail, weather should be nice and warm.
