First Timer 1108 Posted May 4, 2023 Report Share Posted May 4, 2023 How are the mosquitoes? We are taking our first Caribbean and want to know if mosquitoes are going to be a problem. Bathrooms... many tourist spots have bathroom attendants that actually keep the bathrooms usable, even for an American...but we are expected to tip with each visit. That's fine with me to get a clean bathroom. Some places don't even bother with the "tips" concept. Recently at the local market in Cabo San Lucas, there was an attendant at the entrance to the restrooms collecting 50 cents American or one peso (if you've got pesos that's the way to go) per person to use the facilities. teddy Posted May 5, 2023 Report Share Posted May 5, 2023 Yup. Bathroom attendants in Mexico. I had forgotten they existed until we went on our first cruise to Cozumel in 2019. Before that, the last time I saw one was in the Philippines in 1992. My wife had never seen one.
