WAAAYTOOO Posted February 25, 2023 Report Share Posted February 25, 2023 This has been pretty confusing, TBH. The last time we went to Izumi with the UDP we had mixed results. The first time, I only got 4 pieces of a normally 8-piece roll. I was fine with that as I can never eat all of it anyway....but when we went back later in the week, Dan got the full 8 pieces. No explanation. I will find out the answer to this question next week...although we don't have the UDP this time, just a 3-night plan. Not sure if that makes a difference. It seems so petty for them to make this kind of bizarre change to an already-confusing system. With all of the angst ongoing relating to dining changes, why mess with something that was working just fine.... Atlantix2000 Posted February 26, 2023 Report Share Posted February 26, 2023 Pretty sure Matt had a long blog post within the last week about the half size vs full size rolls messing with the value of the prix fixe at Izumi. Xaa Posted February 27, 2023 Report Share Posted February 27, 2023 I think it's always confusing if you have one item by name but it sometimes is only half the item. If they want to keep prix fixe and a la carte, just simply say that prix fixe allows you 1/2 or a roll. They choose to keep it as complex as possible.
