Formal night is the second night and usually a sea day. It is really just a day for people who want to dress up and take photos. The dinner isn't really any different, there is no special venue. You will either have traditional dining, which is already set at 5/5:30 or 8/8:30, My Time Dining (MTD), which is any time between 6:45-9pm, or specialty dining, which is paid dining and you schedule a reservation.ย

As mentioned above, you do not need to make special or separate reservations for formal evenings. The total number of formal evenings, as well as, the day(s) of the cruise they fall on varies by length of sailing and other factors.
