cpinaz Posted January 15, 2023 Report Share Posted January 15, 2023 I have not been able to get a clear answer from the RCCL call center customer service and this information is mysteriously not on the website in the information regarding the free drink coupons. For anyone who has recently been on a RCCL cruise and received free drink coupons based upon loyalty status. The drinks are free but is there an automatic gratuity accessed and added to my account based upon the value of each drink (pre-discount) for each beverage? I was told the gratuity is added to each drink (as well as a suggestion I should give an additional tip to the bartender.) I've done several cruises and no such thing occurs. There is a space to add a tip and I write in CASH and a "0" for the total and then I sign for those those drinks. I carry singles so I can tip the servers. If I run out of cash I would write in a tip. Guest services or the casino bar can break larger blls into singles.
