pghproducer
Obviously the amplification plans for Liberty were put on hold due to Covid… but from what I am hearing the ship is feeling dated and in need of a refresh. Nothing is on the calendar now, but does anyone think the ship may go in for a drydock in the next year? Even if it’s not the full amplification… just some small refreshes like fixing the big screen, cleaning the carpets, etc?
cruisellama
I notice the "aging" more after being on one of the newer or more recently upgraded ships. Ah the smell of fresh deck primer
twangster
Liberty had a technical dry dock in 2021 so her next scheduled or routine dry dock would be 2026. Hopefully by them the company will have paid off enough debt to amplify her.
smokeybandit
Carpets are replaced mid-cruise. Dry docks don't tend to upgrade things that a passenger would really take notice of, short of an amping.
CrznTxn
The only thing we were told on our Liberty cruise two weeks ago is they are replacing some of the slot machines in the Casino and will replace more when they move to Florida. Other than that we did not hear of any updates, even from Captain James. He said he did not have a time frame when their amplification would occur. SuzanneM
I hope they either don't remove Sabor or that I get to try it out before they get rid of it. I wasn't able to try them the one time I was on Liberty. Hoping to go back to Galveston in the near future and have a nice meal.
