Symphony of the Seas booked!

Recommended Posts

They have my money from right after Matt's scope the other night and MEI is taking it over once Brock gets back tomorrow....I'm skeered...taking my kids who are getting an OV with balcony and my wife and I are getting a CP balcony....that's a lot of money even though I've seen the price go up and staterooms get gobbled up.

I will have to re-price it often to feel like I got a deal...

CP balcony booked (somehow the cheapest room on the ship) for now, will transfer to MEI once the group if formed but unless we see some price drops down the road I doubt I will make final payment, we shall see though.

Don't forget you only have 60 days from the time of booking to transfer.  No harm in transferring early (plus one less thing to worry about).  You can email [email protected] to have it taken care of.

On another note, is it just me or are there ridiculously few cabins available for this Thanksgiving cruise?  Not many balcony cabins of any type it seems.

It's the first full US sailing and it's over a holiday.

On the flip side, I think a lot of people booked it just to have a placeholder.  I suspect there will be some cancellations going forward, especially closer to final payment.

I booked Thanksgiving cruise through RCCL over the phone.  Do I need to transfer it to MEI to take advantage of the blog group activities?  If so, do I just call an MEI agent and explain the situation to them?  Thanks!

Some of the events are exclusive to those who booked through MEI, so I'd recommend transferring your reservation over.  Also, keep in mind that you only have 60 days from the date that you made the reservation to make the transfer.

Matt previously suggested emailing [email protected] to arrange the transfer.

Welcome aboard the group and thank you for supporting our sponsor!

I wonder if this has anything to do with their inventory control.  They might be holding some inventory back since rooms are going so quickly for this sailing,

I think part of what's happening is people placed holds without deposits and eventually, those holds disappear if a deposit is not made.

I broke down and booked the inaugural cruise on Symphony for 21 April 2018.  Gotta fly to Barcelona for it but hey - It's a Cruise!

When I try to go into the "My Cruises", Symphony isn't even listed so I cannot yet add my reservation to get a countdown.  Google tells me that I have 404 days to wait.

Excited is not the word for it.

I had the same issue when trying to add the cruise.  No Symphony in the drop down list yet.  Only 614 for me, LOL. :)

I'll be on the same sailing! As long as real life doesn't get in the way between now and then.

Maybe we can meet for a drink.
