pamw
Hello, I'm looking for information on the following ports and if there is anything shops or beaches within walking distance. Sailing on the IOTS in April 2017 Labadee - Haiti San Juan - Puerto Rico Charlotte Amalie - ST Thomas Philipsburg - ST Maarten Thanks
Matt
Labadee is a beach, so nothing special to do per se.In St Thomas, Emerald Beach is fairly close. Not walkable, but short taxi ride: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2016/01/09/excursion-focus-emerald-beach-st-thomasIn St. Maarten, walk to town (or take water taxi) and there is a free beach in Phillipsburg along the boardwalk. rjac
Charlotte Amalie - ST Thomas has some great jewelry shops and you can haggle the prices. If there is only one cruise ship (the one you're on) you can get some really good deals. However, if the port is full of ships, not so much. cooperstraits
We were planning to go to the beach with the airplanes flying over BUT, read that nude sunbathing was allowed. We have a 4,5 and 6 year old going so we are not going to make it. Beware if you have young children.

I have seen it over at Orient Beach, however. And in reality, really young kids don't send to be concerned by it. MikeK
