Pattycruise
Greetings, I did a search and did not see an answer. Royal site says PCR are acceptable, but not mention RT-PCR. Is the RT-PCR acceptable for unvaxxed kids? Asking for my niece. Thank you.

smokeybandit
PCR is just shorthand for RT-PCR

Otherwise CVS offers PCR with an "up to 3 day turnaround" I've done the RT-PCR and get the results in under an hour. I just need to know it is ok for an unvaxxed person. Royal mentions a PCR or antigen, does not mention the Rapid PCR.
sammy79
I know the RCCL accepts the rapid pcr test from Walgreens (ID now?). I think the limiting factor would be the turnaround time. The Walgreens test result is ready within a couple of hours. We have a 3 year old and will take him to Walgreens for his test Pattycruise
