Allure Cabin 12324 question

Recommended Posts

We have 2 adults and 2 kids staying in this room.  One of the kids is our sons friend.  The category is a 5d and the deck plan shows this room sleeps up to four.  Do the kids share the couch bed or is there a drop down bed in the room.  Not too much info on the subject.  Thanks for any help!

From Cruise Deck Plans = however things may have changed

Type: Spacious Balcony

- Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that lead to your private veranda
- two twin beds that convert to a queen-sized bed (72.5 by 82 inches)
- considerable closet space
- private bathroom with shower
- living area with desk, drawer space
- vanity
- sofa
- flat-screen television
- thermostat controlled air-conditioning
- internet access
- direct-dial telephone, radio, mini bar, individual safe
- 24 hour room service.

Some balconies up to 80 square feet. Handicap cabin size is 272 square feet plus 80 square foot balcony. Category 1C (was D1) and 2C (was D2) has larger balconies. Some cabins are laid out with the bed near the balcony, others have the sofa near the balcony. Triple and Quad cabins have the sofa near the balcony. Layout changes every other cabin. Handicap cabins may have small chair bed instead of sofa bed. If there is more than two booked in cabin the chair bed is not recommended for adults.

If it’s not too late, I would transfer this booking to a travel agent.  They would be able to get as much information as you need about the room and options for sleeping arrangements.  Our travel agent was invaluable for a recent cruise where we couldn’t get a handicap accessible room and we’re able to ensure the right bed options for staying in a non-accessible room.

‘According to the Royal Caribbean deck plans for Allure, that room (12324) is only supposed to accommodate 2 passengers

Thats what is shows for sailings through April 16, 2022. Thereafter it shows room 12342 as a 4 person occupancy room.

‘If that’s the case, the answer to the original question must be “sofa bed”.  They can replace the current sofa with a sofa bed after April 16 …..  but there’s no way they can add drop down beds if they aren’t already built in to the cabin’s ceiling.

Correct. I just didn't want the OP to worry that they might be booked in a 2 occupancy room. I would also assume that they are putting in a new sofa bed after April 16th.

It appears the balcony rooms with the Pullman beds are the staterooms that show the 5 person occupancy symbol on the deck plan. It also appears that these rooms are only bookable through a TA or by calling in.

The 1A utra spacious category also has the 5 person occupancy symbol but has the Convertible king, two bunk beds, and sofa bed.
