Cruiser70
What is the proper addition tip at speciality restaurants considering the 18% tip already calculated. What about the Coastal Kitchen? Hard to figure out what a fair additional tip should be. Almost every employee goes above and beyond what would be considered great service. twangster
When you eat in CK the portion of the daily gratuity that would go to the MDR covers CK. Tipping beyond that is at your discretion in CK or at specialty. When I use a C&A BOGO I tip differently because in that case no gratuity for both meals has been captured. tonyfsu21
For my family of (4), $20-$50 depending on family size or kids that are either high maintenance (like mine) or kids that create a mess to clean up for the staff.

We plan on trying CK but also want to share the MDR experience with my in laws who've never cruised but I don't want staff to not be tipped. (we're going to be star class if that makes any difference.)

You always give your room number when you eat anywhere so they can allocate tips appropriately.
