JRT
Does anyone know if the reward points for the RC Visa credit card expire? And how do you go about using the points for on-board credit. Thank you.
Marc
Yes, they expire, and I think they're good for five years. You can go to RoyalCaribbean.com/MyCruiseRewardsOnline to redeem your points.
Wilson
We took advantage of the Royal BOA Visa for a few years, but have ditched it for the Sam's MasterCard. There are other cards that are more "rewarding" than Royal BOA. Sam's pays 5% cashback for all fuel purchases, 3% on travel on dining and 1% on everything else. jticarruthers
Depending on how you are with "handling" credit, the BofA cards are worth signing up for to get the signup bonus but there are many better cards to use on an ongoing basis. Wife and I each signed up last year and bought about $3 worth of stuff (total, about $1 and change on each of our accounts). We each received the 10,000 pt bonus from BofA for a total of $200 in OBC for $3 of purchases we would have made anyway. Multiple other cards out there offering 2% or more on purchases with higher rates such as Wilson gave above available as well depending on what your credit usage patterns are. Matt
I tend to agree with most others here. Some love the RC Visa card, but personally, I find better value in perks with other credit cards. It really depends what you look for in rewards and how you use your card. DocLC
I agree with the others. There are many other cards that offer greater benefits than the Royal affiliated card.
RestingBird
I just signed up for the RC card myself. My wife wanted another card with better points and whatnot but never chose one, so I just went for the RCI. We'll be cruising with a child starting late next year/2018, so I figured a little more OBC can't hurt.
