rjac Posted March 26, 2020 Report Posted March 26, 2020 I just saw this on line. Nothing from Royal yet. https://www.kinyradio.com/news/news-of-the-north/report-port-of-seattle-suspends-2020-alaska-cruise-season-indefinitely/?fbclid=IwAR2juJIAgumKv4wVP1aRBGZDiwNDe29RUXbAl3i8bokI3ruVi0uGkPCyHo4. J-Fitz Posted March 26, 2020 Report Posted March 26, 2020 What I fear is that people will rush to go on cruises too early or the cruise lines will open up as soon as possible causing spikes in the numbers again. This is a state heavily impacted prioritizing themselves and others. Quote
WanderPam Posted March 26, 2020 Report Posted March 26, 2020 The headline seems a bit misleading. I dont think there will be any cruises from anywhere until the public health emergency has ended. I am still hoping for the best that Alaska cruises will resume July 1 as currently scheduled with Canada closing its ports. Might be wishful thinking as my cruise is in August but fingers crossed! This is a good clarification of the report and also shows how information, while not incorrect, can be very misleading. Its all about how it is reported. Quote
