Patrick
I am on the Royal Caribbean cruise Sept 29-Oct6. It is a 7-night Mediterranean Cruise. Is there a formal night in the Dining Room one of the nights, and if so will I be allowed in if I just where a collar shirt and a tie? bhageerah
I have seen people allowed in the dining room on formal night in a t shirt and shorts so I really do not believe that you will have a problem!
HeWhoWaits
You'll be allowed in with much less than a collared shirt and a tie. I don't recommend barefoot and shirtless, as that MIGHT keep you out (with the lack of "requirement" enforcement these days, you never know). There may be two formal nights the first of which could be "wear your best". Recommendation for men is slacks/dockers and a collared shirt with dressier clothes encouraged but not required. Yes, there are informally-dressed folks on formal night, but they are few in number, or like happened to me, they've lost their suitcase.....In the Med you may go to churches/cathedrals so everyone should have at least one pair of slacks, etc.
FManke
It's not a dress code, if it's not enforced. It's a suggested dress. Just saying. I don't really care what people wear. It doesn't affect my dinner or enjoyment. You be you and I'll be me. USCG Teacher, WaterBaby and Ray 1
