Snowboardmom
Hi everyone, does anyone have advice on getting off the ship on November 3rd and know of a tour or if the Houston Space center has any luggage storage, our flight will not be leaving till 6pm Sunday evening. Would like to do this tour as Royal cancelled our tour past January in Port Canaveral as there was not enough people to have the tour, was so looking forward to this tour. Thanks in advance
AshleyDillo
Can't answer your question, but maybe consider renting a car for the day? Then the luggage can be stored in the car and it allows you to drive to the Houston Space Center and then to the airport for your flight. Momof4crazytocruise
Looks like they have luggage storage for a fee: https://www.tripadvisor.com/FAQ_Answers-g56003-d669494-t1329098-We_will_be_travelling_with_luggage_arriving_to.html
Snowboardmom
Hi Everyone, Just a little tidbit about a tour from Galvenston to the Houston Space Center, found on the Royal Caribbean App that there is a tour on de-embarkation day that allows transportation from Pier to Space centre and then to Houston International airport. This is only on the app for some reason its not in your cruise planner to book. You have to phone Royal Caribbean directly to book. Fingers crossed that this tour will go on November 3rd, as our last one for Port Canaveral in January got cancelled.

It's cheaper to rent a car.
steverk
Be careful about the airport! Houston has 2 international airports. Houston Hobby (Formerly Houston International Airport) is the closest (about 35 miles from the port) and has been in existence since the beginning of time. Southwest is the dominant airline Bush Intercontinental Airport (Frequently mistaken as Houston International Airport) is nearly 70 miles from the port and is much larger. United is the dominant airline. Most international airlines use this airport.

jbrinkm
I know I'm reviving a 3 year old thread, but I don't see a newer discussion on this topic. Has anyone done this tour? How did it work, particularly the timing? Did you enjoy it?
