Al Horner
Of the two ships, I was surprised to see that Spectrum is 47 feet shorter than Symphony and it's beam is 18 feet less resulting in 61,334 less overall tonnage than the Symphony. So, it's a smaller ship with 843 less crew members. Now, here's what really surprised me - The Spectrum is scheduled to carry 422 more passengers than the Symphony! So, smaller ship with less crew and a lot more passengers. Hard to imagine that it might not be a little crowded with less service. Please correct me if any of these figures are wrong. WAAAYTOOO
I did feel like the Q class ship (Anthem is the only one I've been on) was more crowded than any O class ship I have been on but it was not so bad that it made my cruise unpleasant. There is so much "open space" on an O class ship that people just scatter. I love both classes but still prefer the O class.
twangster
Something is wrong. Quantum class do not carry more than Oasis class. Where did you find that spec?
Al Horner
Vacationstogo.com has a section for ship specs. I found the information there.

Royals website always lists the correct specs. Al Horner

twangster
Keep in mind too the 4,905 is the maximum capacity while 5,400 for Oasis class is the double occupancy capacity. Passenger counts are often expressed two ways. Double occupancy assuming two guests in each cabin. Maximum capacity is the SOLAS limit if every cabin that accomodate more than two guests is utilized for that purpose. For Quantum class those numbers are typically 4,180 and 4,905. For Oasis class those number are typically around 5,500 and 6,700. Give or take a bit as each varies slightly. AGSLC5 and Matt
