Matt
However, it's simply a convenience rather than a savings and I'd rather have the savings if I had the choice. You are 100% correct. Less money to commit now. Kamorkasor
monctonguy
Just wondered if there as an extra incentive to book onboard when there is a deal like there is currently with deposit reduced for everyone? Do you get an additional reduced deposit if you book onboard, as usually it is %50 less than what is currently required. Anyone that has booked on board when the posted sale includes a 50% reduced deposit? No chance you get a double reduced deposit eh?

There is no reduced on top of reduced deposit with NextCruise. It's either available or not. The incentive to book onboard is mostly the free onboard credit on top of whatever other promotion RC is running.
Guest toodle68
We just booked our next cruise on ship and the one item that stood out for me was how easily and quickly they found two available cabins on deck 10.. I had looked on the website and the only available interior cabins were on lower decks. They found us a junior suite and interior cabin across from each other. Also, not sure if anyone else has this problem, but when looking for cabins on the website, after a couple of changes and back and forth, the website starts having all manner of issues... sometimes it stops updating the price, other times it will not update the number of adults in a room etc.
chrisd596
Yeah..I am confused.....there was NO perks to booking on board for me except the instant $100 OBC for the current cruise I was on. The OBC they were offering for the 3 cruises I was looking at booking, was NO different than me sitting at home and booking on the website. Promo in Nov with RCI was a big OBC...nothing to do with booking onboard, you had it posted here many times during the month of Nov.(Bogo + OBC promo) The above poster saying he got $400 OBC "because" he booked with the next cruise desk is not correct. I could have gotten the same deal sitting at my office and booking online....the only perk is the $100 immediate obc he received which is standard right? If they give you instant obc, what happens if you cancel the booksed cruise??
CGTLH
If they give you instant obc, what happens if you cancel the booksed cruise?? You forfeit the deposit. Example if $100 in instant OBC was given with a $100 deposit, the deposit washes out the OBC. But say you put down $200 and the instant OBC was $100, you'll get $100 back. Essentially, the OBC is taken from the returned amount.
Guest toodle68
One thing I learned about the OBC.. we booked 2 cabins which made two bookings. They gave $50 each to 2 people in the 1st stateroom and $25 to each of the first two listed people in the 2nd cabin. I asked to move all the OBC to the 1st cabin but was told that can only be done when we get on the ship.
nursefran
On 12/2/2015 at 8:09 AM, monctonguy said: Same is true not booking on board.....promo last mth was $400 OBC booked in a GS suite......nothing to do with booking on board. So really, its the $100 OBC you immediately receive that is the only cash perk....and I could have received that booking an inside room at the next cruise desk. Like I said...I checked 3 different cruises, on 3 different boats...and there was NO savings or extra incentive at all with the next cruise desk for me. I was able to combine my Casino Royale pricing.Just called them the day after I booked my next cruise & they took care o the rest.Nurse Fran Diamond member
