  1. I am cruising in March of 2017 on the Allure of the Seas with the 7 night western caribbean. We don't know any good excursions and were looking for help. There is a 14 year old and a 11 year old. We would like something fun, but not too physically demanding. Please let me know any feedback. Ports: Cozumel, Mexico Falmouth, Jamaica Labadee, Haiti (Royal Caribbean Island)
  2. Taking a cruise on liberty of the seas in July 29 2018 and I was looking at doing a couple of dives. One in Rotan, Honduras with Anthonys Key and the one in Cozumel does not say the provider but its in the Arrecifes de Cozumel National Marine Park. Just wondering if anyone else has done a dive at these locations or with the providers and found it worthwhile? and any tips on what to expect are appreciated as well.
  3. When getting off the boat in Cozumel, what is the best and closest all inclusive resort to go to?
  4. My little daughter who is 5 saw a video of a shore excursion with dolphins on youtube. I'm now having to research if the dolphin experience in Cozumel on our Oct 22nd Western Cruise is worth it or not? Any reviews out there? Feedback? Should I purchase through RCL or is there a reputable place to buy a better package? Thanks everyone!
  5. We are travelling on Liberty of the Seas this November. My family of 6 includes my teenaged son who uses a wheelchair. We're looking for recommendations on affordable excursions in Costa Maya, Cozumel and Roatan that are kid, young-adult friendly & wheelchair accessible. We don't mind skipping a formal tour and taking a taxi to a destination, but we are not sure if there are wheelchair accessible taxis in the 3 ports. Does anyone have experience with the beaches, excursions, or self-tours? Thanks, Diane
  6. We recently visited Nachi Cocom during a Empress stop in Cozumel. We disembarked and walked through the cruise port to the taxi stand and immediately took the 15-20 minute $17 US drive south to the day resort. The cost was $55 per person with an $11 per person deposit. We received a confirmation upon booking which we printed out and took to the resort. Our driver dropped us off at the entrance and we were warmly greeted by the staff member who took our picture and briefed us on the process. We were then directed to the reception area in the restaurant where we paid the remaining balance a
  7. I'm torn. I want to go to both. They both have great reviews in Trip Advisor. One has lots of activities and the other seems more sedate. My college age daughter and I are sailing to Cozumel in June, and I'm not sure what we'll both like. What has the best food and service? If you've done them both, what would you do again? Which beach is better? Is the snorkeling off the beach good at both places?
  8. Hey everyone! I wanted to provide you with a review of my recent Brilliance sailing. Please check it out HERE.
  9. Brilliance of the Seas – Monsters of Rock Cruise Feb. 2-7 Most likely if you have been hanging around Matt’s daily Periscopes lately you have heard me boasting about my wife’s and my annual pilgrimage to sunny Florida or Los Angles for the Monsters of Rock Cruise. This will be number 5 for us. For the first time ever, it will be held on a Royal Caribbean ship, Brilliance of the Seas, and I figured I’d share with everyone for a couple of reason. First of all. it is a RCCL cruise. Second it is a 100% buyout/charter so things are run a little different, and third and most
  10. My wife and I are going on a cruise in April on Liberty to Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel and we are looking for one or two affordable beach days at any port. If other things are included too, that's great, but we are really just looking to relax on a quality beach and enjoy some good food and cocktails. The excursion we have our eye on right now is the Parrot Tree Beach Resort in Roatan. It is currently priced at $44 and does not include food or drinks although they are offered at an extra charge (It doesn't say how much). Does anyone have any other suggestions for any of these ports? I'm open t
  11. Is there anything great to do at the port in Cozumel other than shopping or do I need to do a excursion? Also...anything inexpensive?
  12. I am looking at an excursion to the "Secret River"...cave exploring excursion in Cozumel. I have looked at the reviews and everyone loves it but I was wondering if you have been on it and can tell me how much swimming is involved. Some reviews say it doesn't matter if you swim because the floatation vest will let you float along...another said 10 minutes of swimming...is that 10 minutes all at one time? Trying to decide if this is the best fit for us. Thanks in advance
  13. I am looking at excursions for Falmouth and Cozumel. It is our first cruise in April. Nothing in jamaica seems to excite me except possibly Blue Waters Beach or Jewel Beach Break AI. Leaning towards Jewel bc I think my boys will love the water park option. Do they have cabana rentals? I am also trying to decide between Jaguar Bus, Bike and Beach or Mr. Sanchos! In Labadee I was thinking of the dragons breath flight line and Amiga Island experience. Any thoughts or tips appreciated! Michele
  14. I'm curious to know if while in port at Labaee, Falmouth, and Cozumel if you bring your own snorkeling gear how easy is it to find areas to snorkel for cheap or even free?
  15. Who, besides mpoole3 and me, is on the Briiliance of the Seas four night cruise to Cozumel March 31?
  16. We leave on the Liberty of the Seas on 2/28 from Galveston, TX. We had planned on some excursions into the jungles and the Mayan Ruins but with the Zika Virus being prevalent there...we have cancelled the plans for these excursions. I wonder if RCCL is advising cruisers of this danger and if they are doing anything to protect the passengers? I think the cruise and ship itself are safe but excursions may not be.
  17. I'm considering a shore excursion to mainland from Cozumel but I have read plenty of horror stories about the ferry being rough and sea sickness is not far off. Anyone have any recent experience with the ferry?
  18. Can anyone recommend a good beach for swimming in Cozumel?
  19. Why are there only a few of the many excursions from the RC brochure listed when I log in to reserve for the 5-31-15 sailing? Will more be added?
