  1. ....is on Navigator. Not on my cruise planner so don't know pricing, but I suspect they will do well. I love the name....To Dry For Here's the article along with a short video.
  2. There's also an airport in Atlantic City the Spirit uses.
  3. Yup....before the merger, Continental basically ran EWR. Other airlines were kind of at their mercy.
  4. Take it in stride..you'll be margarita sipping in the blink of an eye! Safe travels.
  5. Haha....Tell them to just lean with the Captain like you do on a motocylcle.
  6. I believe @sk8erguy1978 uses SWF and likes it. It seems every time I looked at Frontier, although the base price was good, the added fees wiped out much of the benefit or I had to sacrifice non stop flights. Last thing I want is 6-8 hours for a 3 hour flight. Just never worked out for us. I keep looking though we usually end up on AA or Jet Blue.
  7. And I'm thinking $100+ to get to Cape Liberty from there.
  8. If I understand this correctly, Newark is not FAA slot controlled like the other NYC airports. If that is the case, then I'm guessing other airlines could just add flights without paying to buy slots. https://www.faa.gov/about/office_org/headquarters_offices/ato/service_units/systemops/perf_analysis/slot_administration/slot_administration_schedule_facilitation/level-3-airports/
  9. Yup, it's a thing. Apparently the chemicals that work best for our protection are deadly to the coral reefs. Here are a couple of articles with some good information on the subject. You can buy this type of lotion in most stores now and on Amazon, Pricey, of course. https://www.oceanfdn.org/blog/your-sunscreen-killing-coral-reefs https://www.cozumel-tours.com/biodegradable-sunscreen.htm Here's a page from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=reef+safe+lotion&ref=nb_sb_noss_2
  10. I know there are a lot of Southwest fans on RCBlog. Don't know how many have the need to go to or from Newark, but that will no longer be an option effective November 3. Here is one of the articles. @JohnK6404, you are still fine at Islip and I'm still jealous!
  11. I wish everyone realized this. When one of the show skaters fall and someone has a nasty comment, it makes wish I could just smack him! And the great part is when they do fall, even if not immediately, they do the same move again to get it right..."and the crowd goes wild"
  12. In addition to the great information provided by @Matt here, Barrons interviewed Richard Fain after the earnings call. Interesting reading. One thing mentioned is that despite being down 1% today, Royal Caribbean stock has led the industry in 2019. Also from the article regarding the Cuba cancellations: “We wanted to be generous to those guests whose vacations were disrupted, and that comes with a cost, but I think most of them say we handled it well, which will auger well for us in the future.” See the full article here.
  13. And I put your Paradise Point suggestion on MY list! Thanks.
  14. We did that Royal excursion in May and loved it. It was about a 40 minute narrated very informative boat ride to St John and then a 20 minute narrated bus ride to Trunk Bay beach. It was very reasonable priced at $66 per person. I highly recommend it. You can get more details and see pictures about half way down on page 6 of my live blog here Spoiler alert--I do talk about a lot of those informative points.
  15. That is interesting to me. We have been on Adventure twice with traditional dining (once before refurb and once after) and were at the same table on deck 5 both times. I will be requesting the same table again for May, so I hope that has not changed.
  16. Oh, @Jaymac Radio...here's hoping safe travels and happy sailing for both you and your alter ego @FlowBro Ty.
  17. @hayley_bopp, I am sure @Lovetocruise2002 won't mind me jumping into her thread here to wish you a great trip and safe travels. I guess it would be awkward to blog here from a different cruise line, but hopefully you can post something here and there. Will you be periscoping?
  18. @twangster, any thoughts on that regarding internet? My 4 night on Navigator is $14/day but my 12 night on Adventure is $16/day for surf & stream. AND the difference between that plan and the lower surf only plan is $2/day for Navigator, but $3/day for Adventure. (Adventure cruise is only 7 months after Navigator). Thanks.
  19. @RickinSTL..please report back when you meet "them" in Sept and let us know for sure.
  20. First I thought they were good friends and later on toyed with your idea, which is most likely more accurate. Maybe @Matt should ban "both" of them for treason! ?
  21. Very curious...do you happen to know why @FlowBro Ty is doing the blog there instead of here?
  22. Single digit day is coming!! Happy sailing!!
  23. @Lovetocruise2002, Simeon was on our Symphony cruise also. He was pretty decent, but not as good as the second comedian (Rodney Johnson..I do not know Phil Tag). I have been following comedians for more years than you are old. I'll be interested in your take on him. Can you please share the email address for the entertainment dept? Thanks and happy sailing.
