  1. I'm not in any hurry and have already had a initial back and forth between the two of us. Our cruise isn't supposed to "sail" until 10/3. I can tell you right now, it's not going to happen, so that gives us until 10/2/2021, to get all our ducks in a row. I thought 18mos was a long time to wait from booking until sailing. Now looks like it's going to be 36mos. Damn Covid! Can't have anything nice! Happy Cruising! (whenever that is)
  2. I've already sent an email to my new TA. Our cruise isn't scheduled until Oct and we are going to rebook for next year anyways as soon as it's official cancelled, so no real hurry for us.
  3. My new TA is Kathy Geiger. Anybody familiar with her? Happy cruising!
  4. Please move our Rhapsody of the Seas Greek Isle cruise from 10/3/20 to 10/2/2021.
  5. Maybe for the short haul they will resort to an old fashioned cafeteria type set-up where the food is dished out by RC staff. Or maybe a limited menu that dished up and brought to your table. Time will only tell.
  6. There are more important things in life, dare I say, than cruising. The last 3 months have showed us all. Good luck and God bless to all of you in your future endeavors! Happy Cruising!
  7. Just saw this. As far as RC is concerned, our cruise leaving Venice on 10/3/20, is still a go. Not for us though. Too many uncertainties still. We are going to move it till next year, which brings us to the Ravenna situation. I have asked myself, if the original cruise was leaving from Ravenna and not Venice, would we still be excited? Hell yes! It's still a cruise! Depending on the shuttle situation we might keep our original plan of spending two nights in Venice on the front end and taking the shuttle from the airport to the port in Ravenna. Lots to think about, but we now have another year to plan. Things could be worse and have been for so many others. Happy cruising!
  8. If RC wants to ever get back to what it once was, if that's possible, it needs to gain peoples trust back that cruising is safe again. And not just die hard cruisers, but first timers as well. Breaking even in the short run, should be the goal. I don't think social distancing is going to go away anytime soon. This as we have all seen, can be pretty impossible in some situations on a cruise. Hello WJ on embarkation day, I'm talking to you! RC's long term success and survival depends on short term sacrifices. IMHO.
  9. I'd settle for a stale bag of peanuts and a bottle of warm water if it meant I was cruising soon.
  10. If they do move it, instead of cancelling it, when do you think this will happen? They can't expect people to be making flight reservations at the last minute.
  11. The other thing about this, the RC website is still taking reservations for this cruise?
  12. So, I've been reading online that Italy will be closed to all international travelers through the end of the year. Anybody else heard this? This effects our Greek Isle cruise out of Venice in Oct. The problem is, that I've heard nothing yet from RC, so I don't know if it is "official" yet. I can't rebook another cruise until I know that the current one has been cancelled. Our flight to Venice has already been cancelled, but I don't want to rebook, if the cruise is not happening. If there is a chance the cruise might happen, but from a different port, I have to change all flights. I guess like everyone else, I'm just on hold. Not a place I'm comfortable with. As much as I don't want to, If this thing drags out any longer, I might just pull the trigger and rebook everything for next year. I don't to wait another year and a half, but I also don't want the uncertainty of not knowing.
  13. There is and will be. Albeit, too slow for some and too fast for others.
  14. The part about NY sailings is not surprising, considering what's going on there now.
  15. What would be your dream meal on a RC cruise? Pick and choose from all menu items across the fleet and venues to create your perfect dream meal. Happy future cruising!
  16. I think this like many other things will be very different on the other side of this craziness. We will all have to get used to a new norm.
  17. A jumper cable walks into a bar. the bartender says, "I'll serve you. But don't start anything." Two antennas met on a roof, fell in love and got married. The ceremony wasn't much, but the reception was excellent! Did you hear about the man who stole a calendar? He got 12 months.
