  1. Yes. I think I read somewhere it would be about a 6 week dry dock starting in November. @twangster would know because he's booked after dry dock.
  2. I think we would get along great! ? That just about sums me up too!
  3. If I were you I would book it before they officially announce the revitalization details. I booked Oasis for 2020 back in February and it was a good price. If they follow suit with the other ships that have undergone revitalization (Mariner and Indy), the price went up considerably after it was announced. You could always book a refundable and and cancel if you change your mind.
  4. Hmm...interesting. I couldn't even get to that point of printing. I will have go give it another try later....
  5. That was the problem I also came across. The app would not let me past the picture point so I tried to use my computer. Same thing....I wonder if Mariner will have the same problem since it is also supported by the new app.
  6. Not sure if you two are using the new app but I tried to do my Indy check in without uploading a pic (I usually don't and just let them take one at the port) and the new app would not let me continue without uploading a pic.
  7. LOL!!! Have you seen his scopes???! The man is a walking encyclopedia! That is also where the nickname "Twangsterbot" comes from ? @twangster I am loving these pics of the ports of call. Even if @Matt doesn't organize a Canada/NE GC, I am pretty sure the is next on the booking list while I wait for Oasis 5. Thanks for doing this!
  8. That would be me! I think...lol See my Anthem live blog on how that all got started.....at least that is where I think it all started ?
  9. Tagging @twangster on this as he cruises solo quite often.
  10. This video is not new but when I watched this a while ago, it gave me a deeper apprecaition for the Aqua Theater and all the shows there. https://www.royalcaribbeanpresscenter.com/video/904/deep-diving-and-high-flying-stunts-thrill-on-harmony-of-the-seas-true-feats-are-behind-the-scenes-at-the-aquatheater/ According to Royal, almost 18ft deep. https://www.royalcaribbeanpresscenter.com/download-press-kit/31/
  11. It's not too late to join one. Maybe not Symphony GC, but if you look at the events page (from the link that I posted), @Matt has a listing of all the RCBlog Group cruises. I have not been able to join one either. My work schedule is not very flexible but they look like a whole lot of fun. Looking forward to my first one in July 2019 on Anthem.
  12. True stuff: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/events Happy early bday! ?
  13. Well, if @Matt will do a Canada/NE GC in summer 2020 we can all go and get poutine together!
  14. Welcome to the message boards. I would strongly suggest that you try to see the aqua show before the last showing. What you read is correct. Some of the divers and aerialist perform from very high heights and they won't take chances with their safety. Every sailing on Oasis class that I've been on, the show has been cancelled at least once during the sailing due to winds. We always try to make that one of the first shows that we see.
  15. Agree on that one. I have never wanted to try the Kummelweck until Anthem. Hubby started eating them way back when Oasis first came out with Park Cafe and it always looked way too fatty for my liking. I had one almost every day on Anthem.
  16. There are a "few" complimentary loungers with umbrellas but it's pretty slim pickings.
  17. This is perfect for my next cruise and going forward! Sometimes I feel I don't get full worth from the drink packages because I am limited to what specialty coffees taste good with soy milk. I am so excited! Thanks so much for posting that!
  18. Did I miss something all along or is that "lactose free" option new??? I distinctly remember asking the last few cruises for lactose free and they always have said that they only have almond and soy.
  19. Welcome to the message boards @Janina! I am right there with you in that I would rather read here than do housework. I remembered but had to do some digging... @Matt actually sailed this sailing a few years back. Here is the link to his live blog. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2015/11/24/brilliance-of-the-seas-live-blog-preamble Happy reading. And once he comes back from his weekend science experiment I am sure he can answer your more specific questions.
  20. Thread hijack here...You can actually scroll back and view old comments on the live broadcasts. I find that quite handy sometimes. But yes, it requires some quick reading. That is why multitasking while watching scopes is not always the best idea ?
  21. They went up a while ago...at least over a month or two before. There have been several threads here already about that. Most people have reported seeing them anywhere between $52-60/day for sailings in 2019.
  22. Poutine ? Curious @twangster, is this your first time in Eastern Canada? I really need to book a cruise to venture out that way. Lived in Canada my whole life and the furthest east I've gone is Ottawa. I love the pics from the last few posts. So much history is there.... BTW @firebuck that is likely where you'll find real poutine, not on Anthem lol
  23. Sorry @TheaFromCDA, I totally got mixed up on Periscope earlier. That's what happens when you are trying to make dinner while watching a scope and watching 4 kids ? I should have known better that the TA was not the same as a regular sailing.
