It has, but from what I understand, there are some exceptions that still allow many to cross over by car. I think this means that those people will also need a negative test too now? Either way, it’s just getting more and more complicated. My trip to the Rockies is looking better and better, as long as I can get vaccinated in time.

Z-plasty? WTH is a Z-plasty? (Yet *another* nahtacruz blog)
Lovetocruise2002 replied to JLMoran's topic in Live Blogs
Good luck Joe! ? -
Yes, the $100pp is the “penalty” for cancelling a non-refundable deposit.
-
If you cancel before final payment, you will lose $100pp and the remainder of your deposit should come back as an FCC. So for example, if you have a deposit for 4 people at $250pp; you will get an FCC for each person for $150. Unless something has changed that I am not aware of....

I recall a post by our very own "Mr. Bot" aka @twangster where it was documented that you started it first. ? -
Skiing of the Seas - Still Another Not a Cruise Live Blog
Lovetocruise2002 replied to Matt's topic in Live Blogs
Ok, let this be the point where I document that I am not the first one to start a “not a cruise blog”. So if I decide to do a “cruise snob heads to the mountains” blog eventually, it will be because our fearless leader did it first. ? Anyway, I cannot wait to see what fun happens from this! Father/daughter time is precious. One day she will turn into a teenager and you look back on this and cherish it. Enjoy!! -
Using FCC on a cruise that is then cancelled
Lovetocruise2002 replied to aviationguy21's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Whatever you paid for with FCC, that will be re-issued to you as a new FCC. The only portion that is eligible for a refund if Royal cancels is your taxes and any additional cruise fare you paid for out of pocket. -
Canada's Ban on Cruise Ships Extended to 2022
Lovetocruise2002 replied to Gears's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I agree. Not drag it out till after final payment. Same for the Canada/NE sailings. -
It's not really that far fetched to believe. Canada has long maintained that they don't anticipate everyone who wants a vaccine to have one until end of September 2021 (at the earliest). Seeing that our vaccination efforts are not going well at the moment, I am going to take a guess here and say that it will be later than September. There is no way that Canada is going to want ship loads of people coming in without Canadians being vaccinated first. They cannot take a chance like that. Many of our hospital systems are already overwhelmed. There is no cruising to Alaska or East coast in the winter, so February 2022 is not too far to believe. Unfortunate but it is what it is....
-
Lol!!! That is exactly my thinking too! ?
-
The exact wording differs from year to year. Don't read too much into it. Sometimes they call it "Winter/Spring", sometimes "Winter". Like @Matt and I have been saying, it would be shocking to see anything past April 2023 released.
-
#majorstarclasstakeover is not to be confused with RCBlog group cruise. ? #majorstarclasstakeover was not planned. It just happened lol. I guess pay attention to what others post. That's how it happened last year. It was sort of like a domino effect.
-
I agree. When I first became a cruise nut, I was really confused by that too.
-
No. My understanding is that if they follow what usually is done, the week of February 22 will be the short 3-5 night sailings from Nov 2022 - April 2023 and then the following week, it will be the 7+ night Caribbean sailings from Nov 2022-April 2023.
-
The December 2022 ones, yes. According to @Matt's post. Unless it's the short December 2022 sailings. Those come out the week before according to that schedule.
-
Pretty sure that is not coming out with this release. They will release December 2022 and December 2023 will have to wait for next year. That has been the general trend.

Which hotel to stay at in Miami?

This hotel is almost directly across the street from Bayside. So yes, really close. -
Which hotel to stay at in Miami?
Lovetocruise2002 replied to CruisingOz's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
We love the Intercontinental Miami!! That is our go-to hotel when sailing out of Miami. We always book the Bay View rooms and we also book Club level since that gives you access to their lounge (well worth the extra cost IMO). The hotel is a 5 min walk to Bayside Marketplace where there are tons of choices for dining and shopping. It’s a 15 min ride to South Beach if you want that. And best part is that it takes less than 10 mins to get to the port of Miami. Love that hotel, I miss it. ?
