Ryan, going out on a limb here. If your parents are in a suite, I believe suites have a concierge (also referred to as a "genie") who might be able to help you out. I don't know how you can find out who this genie would be nor how to contact him/her. From what I have read on this forum, the genie usually emails the guests about special requests. If they are in a suite, let us know here and perhaps some of the "suite smart" members can chime in. Best of luck, great idea truly hope you young men can pull this off!

Matt, Read your article regarding the drink package test. Also, Fox News online had a write up about the test today. One question I'm sure a lot of us has is, what if a member of a couple does not drink alcoholic beverages and the other cabin mate does? Doesn't seem right that the non-drinker would have to purchase a drink package also.

I have used these folks a couple of times. Very easy to find, very competitive price (book ahead) and very courteous shuttle drivers. Kind of like the people who put towels on lounge chairs by the pool first thing in the morning. If we can't find a couple of vacant lounge chairs we will occupy a coupe of the reserved chairs. When challenged by the individuals who "reserved" the chairs I tell them, in my best German, "I'm sorry, I do not understand English. Do you speak German?" That usually sends them away in a tirade of vulgarities and hand gestures.

Oh yeah, don't forget the free ice cream/yogurt machine by the main pool! Wipeout Cafe, great burgers and fries..

Breakfast at Johnny Rockets is comp. (go for The Works - killer!) Room service for coffee and bagel/croissant, cereal is comp. also. Solarium Bistro is comp also for lunch, not sure about bfast.

Good review! We did a 2 week B2B last year and have another B2B booked for next year. It takes a week just to find everything on the Allure and the second to really enjoy her!

DJ with recorded music on the Serenade this past March

I'd be happy with a live Caribbean band out by the pool. RC used to have that and it was great. What they have now, a DJ with recorded music, just doesn't do much for me. Got to have that live steel drum!

Sorry Jason, can't help you on the champagne choices as neither my wife nor I are champagne people. But it does seem reasonable that the champagne bar on the Allure would offer more than two choices. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable will chime in here.

With the deluxe package, you pay the difference. If a glass of champagne is $15.00, you will be charged the difference, $2.00. That will be charged to your on board account. Hope this helps.

We were on the Serenade this past March on deck 9 in a balcony cabin midship. Our luggage tags were colored and marked like yours with a 9 instead of 10. Perhaps the shaded pink area just means the front half of the ship and which side (port/starboard) your cabin is located. Here's a link for some inexpensive, very durable plastic luggage tags. The article says "Royal Caribbean will be repositioning the Allure of the Seas after April 2018. The Allure of the Seas will return to Falmouth in December 2018. Anyone here know anything about this?
