  1. I think (but am sure someone else could confirm) that the changing rooms in the gym have lockers that you could store a carry-on-sized bag in. Although there probably is a sign somewhere saying not to store valuables in them...?
  2. I always take an analogue watch and ensure this is set to ship's time so I can still use my and phone and not worry about automatic time changes.
  3. Pisa is definitely worth a visit. And if you're in time to hear the demonstration of the acoustics in the Battistero, that is breathtaking. You have to pay an extra couple of euros for the ticket but it's well worth it. Personally, having done Pisa and Florence, I'm considering Cinque Terre for my upcoming cruise.
  4. On my upcoming Med cruise, one of the ports is Livorno. It's very industrial with nowhere to just walk around so you need an excursion or to stay onboard. We are going to celebrate my MIL's 60th birthday but she doesn't fancy any of the excursions and wants to stay onboard. She's happy to stay onboard alone but my husband will probably stay with her. I've been to Pisa and Florence and have always fancied Cinque Terre - even more so after seeing @Traveler's photos. Question is, do I go it alone or stay onboard and relax?
  5. I took to writing blog posts on my Keep notes app then cutting and pasting onto the blog after this happened to me a couple of times. Looks like you've had a good start to your trip. Enjoy your day of relaxing.
  6. Now this is interesting ? Is it open for everyone or just Key/Suite/High level C&A folks?
  7. I can confirm I do not have the UDP. Being my first Oasis class cruise and only a 7 night sailing I wanted to be able to make the most of the included options this time around. 150 is a #gotsta experience for me though ?
  8. We had this on the Independence tasting. It was really good and I paid the difference on top of my UDP for it a couple of times in the MDR.
  9. I turned up for it on Navigator when it was held at Vintages after it was advertised in the Cruise Compass. Unfortunately, we were the only ones who turned up so it didn't go ahead. However, as we had DBP (and had spent a fair bit of time in Vintages up to that point!) the bar tender still did it for us at no charge although we weren't able to try the Barolo as it was too expensive to open without the paid -for event going on. We even got the cheeses, meats and fruits. We pre-booked it for Independence cruise last year. It was interesting and informative but it was held in the MDR where the ambience wasn't as good and it was difficult to hear the sommelier as she didn't want to use a mic and quite a few people in the rather large group (about 40 in total I seem to recall) kept talking quite loudly whilst she was trying to explain things. If you like wine, it's a fun thing to do as a one-off but I wouldn't do it again. If I saw it advertised in Vintages again, I'd give it a go.
  10. You should do it - so many great historical and cultural sites to see. Some fantastic scenery too.
  11. Looks like you're having a great time. Glad I managed to catch some of your live scope earlier. Looking forward to seeing photos of St. Maarten if possible.
  12. @Lovetocruise2002's martini recommendatio might have been one of the main reasons for booking...?
  13. I've just booked 150 Central Park (as well as all of our MTD reservations for the week which has given me RSI what with all of the checking-out required ? #cruiselifeproblems) and, as a self-confessed foodie, I'm very excited about it. So, now I'm wondering, how much can I order off the menu? Is it one item per course or are you allowed multiple starters and desserts? ?
  14. The time given is the time you need to be there. They do give you a 15min-ish window to arrive but if you are sat at a table with another group, you need to be on time so you don't hold them up or mess the waiters around.
  15. Nice ? Will it be your first time in London?
  16. I'm sure you'll have a great cruise. Being on a smaller ship will probably help with your daughter's aim of relaxing. Looking forward to following along ?
  17. The visit to St Petersburg without the hassle of the visa is my main reason for wanting to do a Baltic cruise too. Thank you for sharing your experience.
  18. Sooo excited for you to board! Have a great cruise ?
