  1. Well if you cancel and rebook, which is what Matt says, you will get a refund. Which is what I have experienced.
  2. For the ppl saying the employees make very little money, we forget that their room and board is paid for every day. So we need to add to their pay the cost of food and room. Was watching a video of a day in the life of an on board musician. He had to pay for his internet at a discount and extra sodas he wanted but other than that everything was free. His monthly expenses were about $325. Now ask yourself what your monthly expenses are. Rent/mortgage heat, electricity, food, internet, car etc... I would say these folks are doing alright. If they weren't, they wouldn't do it. This isn't slavery, no one is forcing them to be there.
  3. For my April 20 sailing I waited til midnight and the times came up earliest time available was 1130. So it isn't specific to your ship.
  4. Ugh, nevermind I figured it out. I went through room selection and realized it's a central park balcony not ocean
  5. I was just looking at a symphony cruise out to MIA next April and it was $100 cheaper for a balcony vs an ocean view. Why is that? Not complaining! I can't attach a screenshot
  6. Nothing is going to be changing in Haiti anytime soon, so nothing will be changing with the optics of RC going to Haiti. I actually suspect things will get much worse there before they get better.
  7. I don't really gamble, but if table games were $5 I might consider having a bit of a go at it. Seeing $10 minimums scares me off. So maybe they are on to something... I am a prime example of they type of people they might be looking to attract. Personally I don't understand why they would want a higher minimum... It's the minimum, people can always wager more. Unless the goal is to only have serious gambles at the tables, but then they are limiting the interest in the games.
  8. Order 2 meals at MDR... Get 2 apps 2 entrees, 2 deserts
  9. When you say it showed up on your cruise planner, where exactly is it showing up? That's what I am unclear on. Mine might be there but I don't know where to look
  10. That's perfect, thank you.
  11. Anyone have a list or menu of the smoothies offered at the vitality spa? My understanding is they are included with the Deluxe Bev package. This wasn't something I considered when getting the package so it's a nice perk.
  12. This would freak me out if I were doing it from NH to FL, but international? Having to get off the plane, get luggage, clear customs, get to the cruise port? This all assumes your flight gets off the ground on time and there are no arrival delays. Heck for international trip I would be worried going in 1 day early, I would probably go 2 days early.
  13. I have already cashed in my points and applied them to my rooms. I am wondering if and where I can see the on board credit in the app or on the website.
  14. I also don't think they would book an Icon and Oasis at the same time but I could be wrong... That just seems like a lot of people.
  15. Bumping this hoping someone can answer my inquiry.... Where can I see OBC in the app or website? I want to book room with my OBC but I don't know if it is there yet.
  16. Can't see this getting through the channel at MIA of FLL seems a bit too wide for the channel markers
  17. Why did the transgender man only eat salads? Because he was a her before. (Herbivore)
  18. Wow, that's interesting. I would have thought they would stop the ship in the situation of a medivac, but apparently it's more dangerous to do so and they just maintain course and speed. Hopefully this man recovers, but it doesn't sound great.
  19. I am not sure, but I am always worried about the euro plugs frying my equipment due to the differences in voltage/wattage. You have to be sure that whatever you are plugging into that, it can handle it.
  20. If you look at the history of Haiti it is nothing but corruption and failed governments. Maybe it's most stable time was when the US occupied Haiti from around 1915-1934. Then what happened, back to corrupted "president"/dictators. Many don't want to say it, but there is a culture in Haiti that breads violence and corruption and it will continue forever. There will never be peace or prosperity in Haiti, at least not in our life times.
