    OK

Through some tech glitch (or whatever reason, certainly not intentional deflection)  a different email went out to some, let's throw out the baby with the bathwater. The "change in plans" email comes to me for about half of the CP reservations I cancel, its default boiler plate language, it doesn't mean anything.

I hope you enjoy your cruise when (if) you get to it.

Absolutely "intentional deflection". I truly believe that. Why anyone would waste time and energy defending a multi billion dollar corporation is beyond me. Look at the original letter and what they now send. The intentional deflection is right there in black and white in the words. Is it so hard for you people to believe that Royal Caribbean is back peddling by re-wording what this was and what they called/calling it now? Does saying who do they think they are fooling now calling it a change of plan, show some sick form of disloyalty? I truly don't understand seeing a multi billion dollar corporation as a can do no wrong thing in people's lives. I don't buy that of anyone, let alone big businesses. It's so obviously a sad attempt at a spin at the 13th hour. LOL.

And honestly the only reason I would hope you stop, re-read, and consider that is possibly what this is, is because the endless defending around here of this company can feel cult like to others. And it really does feel spooky at times, when that happens. You also can feel vilified when your opinion goes against the loyal followers. I try my best to look at the facts presented to me. Never vote the party line. I was raised call BS when you see it/hear it.

That said, Thank you. I will be going and hope to be impressed. Fingers crossed. Happy and safe travels to you and all my "Fans" here. 😁

Yes i did write it wasn't offensive!!

Because i read it as someone not involved in any argument and understood what it meant!

You would have read it blinkered by previous posts and not fully understood it and yes you would have found it offensive because thats what you were looking for.

It happens! No harm done! At the end of the day not getting bed turned down at night is not a big issue! Pretty sure 1000s of people in Turkey would just be happy to have an actual bed!

Think about how trival these little things are compared to whats actual going on the world!

Quote: You would have found it offensive because that's what you were looking for.

Who the hell do you think you are. Stop telling me how to feel, how to think, how to anything.

This was between me and someone else. I truly believe you just keep coming back to push buttons.

Pretty sure you actually commented on it...something like Wow or something like that, then under your reply someone said it had been reported! Fact is It wasnt offensive!

As i said it was just a poorly worded comparison that if you just the the one post you wouldn't understand, you had to read a few posts to get the proper meaning of post.

    Yes, I said Wow! Really???

And I read it 12 times. It was wildly offensive to me. And I read every post.

I was extremely offended. You don't get to tell me what I can find offensive and what I cannot.

You literally just wrote Quote: "Fact is it wasn't offensive!".

If you read the post plus the one it was in relation to you will see that poster was not being offensive just making a VERY POORLY worded comparison!

I get what poster is saying! that being that everyone knows things are going to happen in the future but just because its not happened today we dont have to keep on mentioning it.

It was mentioned by BrianB 5 hours ago with new information. I was merely picking up on that. I didn't just randomly bring it up this morning.

Now as to my feelings on the subject. Everyone corrects me endlessly when I talk about a change that I hate. Even when I say it hasn't happened yet, someone will say it hasn't happened yet. Like I never even wrote that disclaimer in the first place. When I go out of my way to point out it's coming, not yet, but coming and someone still writes it hasn't happened yet it's maddening. Like they only read the parts they wanted to. Not yet but coming is not saying currently is. I add the disclaimer and get corrected anyway. That's what bothered me. That's why I wrote.

As far as my opinion on the issue that is coming (not yet, but on it's way). It bugs me a lot. I like twice a day service. I've given reasons on it see above. Sand on carpet on beach days, dirty plates in cabins, etc. I think it's a terrible idea. Things won't be as clean. And staff will never get things fresh enough fast enough, especially on turnover days. There is less to do when you do it twice a day. But in the end it is my opinion and I'm entitled to it.

I cannot reread the post to double check how offensive it was because it was removed for being offensive. That speaks for itself.

These adapters have been confiscated by security for years, but it's been a major YMMV situation. Unless you've got a need for Type B electrical plugs, and if you're just needing the adapter for plugging in multiple USB chargers, bring a cordless USB multiport adapter instead. No risk of security confiscation and they take up less room in the luggage.

Security would probably see and confiscate the bottom half on the x-ray, leaving you the top part to keep track of the entire cruise.

    Hasn't happened yet.

And I wouldn't spend the entire cruise keeping track of the top part if it did. LOL

    Onboard the Anthem….

My room steward says the Anthem will go to once a day room service starting on April 16th. They will give the room stewards assistance and evaluate the process for that first week…to work out any issues. Then the following cruise, April 23rd will be when the policy is in full effect.

So sick of people pointing out it's still twice a day when I bring this subject up. Well....shut up. Here it comes.

Here’s the penalty table from our recent Oasis sailing.  I saw several items on it where people on the board have stated they had no problems getting them on.  I wonder if Royal is really cracking down and updating the policies.

    Never seen before. Helpful. Thanks.

While you can do it, I wouldn't.  I'd give it to the porters and see it when rooms open up.  Rolling around 2 extra suitcases won't be a ton of fun.

Not worried. I always carry (roll) at least one bag on. 2 connected till 1pm when cabins open is worth it vs fear of not having enough if some bags get lost. (That's a major hang up for me) Still will have two large 28inch to check with porters. (Yes, I really don't travel light) LOL.

  9. 3 hours ago, Ampurp85 said:

    Yes.

But it won't be considered a carry-on by any airline luggage standards. I believe they only allow up to 23in in length for airplane overheads.

Oh I know. Was just looking to shift some thing from a 28inch to the 24inch on the morning we board.

Any issue with pulling a 24inch connected to a 22inch at once on board? It's not 1 bag per person right?

  10. 1 hour ago, Ampurp85 said:

Well according to google, the airline machines are 32in in length and 23in in width. The machines at the terminals are a bit smaller but imagine the 24in roller will be fine as long as the width is under 20in.

OK, so looked at luggage website.(bags still packed away) 15.7x11.8x26.7. The 26.7 being length. 15.7 width. 11.8 depth. So I guess that's good then, right?

  11. 30 minutes ago, Ampurp85 said:

I would say length/height is not the issue. My 24in can fit in the machines no problem because it is not too wide.

For the sake of conversation I only have the fact that it's referred to as a 24inch roller.

Does anyone have max measurements for xray?

I just asked this question and everyone said Porters will take carry ons with the rest of the luggage.   Which is super convenient, I need both hands for my pizza and margarita.

I always roll on at least a 22inch, hoping to connect it to a 24inch. Then porters take the 28's. I carry on (with wheels) as much as possible. I'm super paranoid about lost luggage.

We love RC for our family of 5, 3 children ranging from 9 to 14. We booked a cruise for next year and saw that there will be a very large group on the ship (Oasis) called Atlantis. They specialize in Gay men’s travel. From the pictures, it looks like one huge party!  Has anyone been on a cruise with this group and know if it would be family friendly?

Have you contacted Royal? Planning to stay on board or change dates?

  14. 14 minutes ago, Bowen said:

If it helps the OP at all I did send an email to Royal after the cruise asking why they hadn’t notified passengers that there was a group cruise booked. They said it wasn’t in their policy to do so. It will be up to the OP to figure out if the group is booked. If it’s not a full cruise booking then RC doesn’t inform you of any other groups booked. I look up my cruise dates now and check to see if there are any bookings for groups of any kind. There are some you’d never expect, like a quilting cruise, dialysis cruise, fitness cruise. Something for everyone.

How do you search for groups?

  15. 13 minutes ago, Xaa said:

I think the OP was just worried about their cruise and what it was all about.  I thought the same as you initially, but I've come around on the OP and actually would like to hear how it resolves for them and if their cruise actually gets taken by a charter and how Royal accommodates them if so.

OK, I'll do innocent till proven guilty.

I still maintain they knew their own personal answer before asking the question.

And I do stand firm on not telling someone what's right for their family.

I absolutely believe Royal should refund or reschedule anyone from a group trip they are not a part of.

I wouldn't do any group cruise. Who wants to feel pushed around and out of place. But who needs strangers to tell them that either???

    Let's see what happens

You’re right, I don’t want to go on a cruise where adults in bondage gear are leading other adults around on leashes. That’s why I replied. I’ve been on one of these cruises accidentally, I had my kids on board with me. It was not family friendly. You do you, I’ll do me.

I'm with you on to each his own. This is America. Thank God all that could happen.

Maybe we can agree on this.

The original poster asked a question they already knew the answer to. Also, nobody can or should tell someone what's right for their family. It's a gay cruise. But let me ask a bunch of strangers if that's cool for my kids. Yeah, OK. Whatever. I just don't think answering them will help them or this group on a whole. Maybe we can agree on that.
