  1. Yay! I was beginning to think no one was coming (HAHAHA!) since there are so few comments on this thread. What are you looking forward to the most?
  2. I'm sure there's a review out there of someone on a cruise ship saying "1 star out of 5! Ship was in the middle of the ocean for extended periods of time and I couldn't get off!" Like @CanHardlyWait and others have said, take negative reviews with a HUGE grain of salt.
  3. Web site. Mine showed up 42 days before.
  4. Perfect, that's exactly what I was wondering. Thanks, @WAAAYTOOO!
  5. Let's say I'm already working with a MEI travel agent. I am constantly the one to let them know about a price drop and they then process that. Is that normal? It sounds like from your comment here that MEI should be doing that automatically. (I just want to adjust my expectations accordingly if that's the case)
  6. Agreed x 1000
  7. You're paying $2 for a pack of ramen????? That's highway robbery! I can get it for 33¢ at the store - definitely grumbling about the markup from 25¢...
  8. I have found that leaving out cruises-reserved information with my spouse until it's absolutely necessary to relay is the way to go.
  9. I'm glad to have contributed to ridiculousness. I also don't feel like waiting 20 minutes for my drink to show up, so to each their own, I guess.
  10. This is all good to know! I have to fly into MIA soon and I am using Southwest, so I am starting to get a little concerned...
  11. A tip we found helpful - MDR staff are overwhelmed. If you can stop at a bar and get soda in a glass, THEN head to the MDR, it makes life so much easier. No more waiting for the drink or creating more work for your servers.
  12. I totally feel you on this post. Anything less than 2-3 reserved feels naked.
  13. I'm just thrilled when I fly SWA and get an aisle seat. Even more thrilled if it's between rows 15-20 (my sweet spot). Now I'm curious - what makes MIA so terrible?
  14. Try doing a test booking. You'll be able to see if that category is even available. If not, chances are very very low that you will get a Royal Up for that category.
  15. I checked in for my next cruise last week on Thursday. I didn't have any of the other information with me at the time, so I just reserved the check-in time. I didn't go back and fill in the information for passports, etc. Until Sunday. Perfectly fine. Don't feel like you have to get up at 5:00 a.m. either! If you get up at your normal time, you're probably still good.
  16. My husband and I did a cruise for the very first time for our honeymoon. Jewel of the Seas! We didn't book many excursions, I think just one, but what we really enjoyed was just wandering around the ports and exploring what they had to offer. Do some research on where your ship is going to be stopping, make a little bit of a plan as to where you might go in that port, and just have fun with it. Be flexible - You might find something that really sparks your interest. Enjoy!
  17. That's what I was thinking - there may be issues just trying to get through the area in general because of the multitude of people. Hope that isn't the case early in the AM!

  19. Departing from Port Everglades on 6/17? Information from Cruise Hive. https://www.cruisehive.com/princess-cruises-warns-of-potential-delays-at-florida-port/103371
  20. Had anyone done this yet and can give feedback?
  21. My 11-year-old was allowed to be in the teen club because I signed a waiver saying it was okay for her to be there. You will probably be able to do that with your 11-year-old, especially with him being so close to 12.
  22. My 12 year old tells me that on Navigator recently, it was 9-11. She's super excited because that means as a 12 year old she can now move on to the Teen Club.
  23. Wear 10-lb ankle weights so that it's harder for the mosquitos to carry you off. I'm kidding, but the bugs can be BAD out in the woods. Definitely bring insect repellant, wear lighter colors, and cover up!
  24. Having been on Navigator twice in the last year, we just went to the first bar we found and got our cups there. If you have multiple people, ask if you can get cups in different colors - we had three pink cups for three people and it got confusing, LOL!
