  1. Sailing out on Sunday.  How was your experience with this terminal?  I have read some older comments about it being "disorganized" but that was from at least 1+ year ago. I think (may be incorrect), but I think the Harmony is one of/the first of the Oasis class to be at this port.  I reckon there's not a difference in terms of process but just curious if you found that it went  smoothly.  We've had different experiences with the different terminals we've been to and am interested to see what the consensus is.

  2. We sail out on 11/12 on the Harmony.....

We have put in for 3 upgrade bids.....we just received our itinerary with- not the upgrades (LOL)  So what I'm wondering is, if those who have had their bids accepted, did they send you the itinerary with your original room and then new one?  Since they say it can be even up to 2 days before sailing , I'm a little confused if this means we did not infact get upgraded?  I hope this makes sense and any information is helpful.  Thank you.

  3. Hi all. We are sailing out of Galveston for the first time in November.   We are a family of 4 and it seemingly sounds like rideshare  service will be the most cost effective for transport to our hotel/port but since I have not experienced it yet I would love to get advice. We’ll plan to fly in the day before but recommended hotels are also very welcome. Appreciate any insight.

  4. Sorry I posted in other category but haven't received any responses and hope you don't mind it....

Perhaps this the new way, but I have never had all shore excursions sold out prior to sailing!  I was advised of an email address that we can use to check on cancellations, but tell me there's hope when you board of potential (more) opportunities to book.

We are booked on an Alaskan cruise this coming June.  A lot of the RC excursions are sold out.  I found this Shore Excursions Group and was wondering if anyone had any experience booking through them instead of RC.  They have some excursions we are interested in.

    Their website is:  https://www.shoreexcursionsgroup.com/

My biggest fear in not booking directly with RC is the "return to ship guarantee" which you know you have with RC.  This group says they have it as well.

This is a big trip for us and I am slightly overwhelmed with all the options.  Eek!

    Thanks!

We're in the same boat (thank you thank you) but in southern caribbean next week.

I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels where I’ve left my luggage with the desk/concierge for a few hours after checking out. I tip $5-$10 depending on how many bags.  The only down side to this is if you have to backtrack from the airport/train station area to get your bags.

Alternatively, we’ve used resortpass.com post cruise in Miami with good results.  A quick check of random dates shows many options in Fort Lauderdale.

I had no idea this existed!. thank you.

  7. What are somethings you do or can recommend for a family of, 4 once you disembark.  Our flight is in the evening which leaves us ample time to kill (like 10 hours).  I'd love to hear some recommendations.  I thought perhaps reaching out to the hotel we will stay at, may allow us to store luggage while we find something to do, otherwise we're stuck sitting at the airport (which is what we did last year).  We've been cruising for over 10 years and you'd think by now we'd have a plan. LOL.  Any helpful advise please and thank you. 🙂

  8. What has your experience been like getting tested at your local pharmacy?  More specifically I am worried about the turn around time (can take 2 days) and if you've received your results back in enough time?  The pharmacies do offer rapid, however, in my area, there are no available so I'm in a bit of a pickle.   I know I could purchase the Binax at home and do like we did last year, but I'm  hoping to avoid a cost.
