  1. Wondering were those 4 chairs in the Solarium actually being used or just hogged off already?
  2. It's not quite that. The feature to pre-book via CP isn't only on Oasis and exists for Quantum Class and her ship. The sailing just isn't offering every show for pre-booking. OP will be fine getting seats.
  3. Wouldn't that then be embarking in HI and disembarking 17 days later in Seattle making it US City to US City? I certainly trust you know what you're doing. I'm legitimately trying to understand that part of PVSA.
  4. I think Anthem is canceling either Port Canaveral or Nassau on their sailings due to her ongoing propulsion issue.
  5. Take the Princess cruise @Jamesszy94. I think you will like it and I get the sense that's the one you prefer. If nothing else, you'll get a solid place of comparison for yourself.
  6. I totally agree. Imagine someone listing a set of opinions, asking for thoughts and then getting prickly when those thought weren't in line with their own.
  7. Hey @Traveling Mike, I'm not sure if I'm reading this correctly, but if you want to start in HI and then end up in AK on a hopeful cruise from Vancouver to Seward, I think that you won't be allowed to do it because of PVSA. That would be transporting you from one us city to another.
  8. One of the adults that were listed on the room needs to remain. If that's the case, then another guest can be swapped out. I can't tell from your post if that's the case or not.
  9. The competition for open alternative ports would also increase as time goes by.
  10. Turns out you don't have to learn to "go with the flow" @Bridgetbien, you get to go right to the Express Lane! Hope you're cruise is filled with nuggets of good luck.
  11. While I was 100% content just a moment ago, now I feel like my life is less until I too get Express Boarding.
  12. Did I say Sheetz? Oops,I meant the local overnight 4h Camp is paying more than $500/week. My point is I think there is a big gap between "Indentured Servitude" that the poster suggested as being how the staff was viewed and the more livable wage that individually some people feel would be more in line with the work and impact of the crew members. Feeling like they deserve more isn't suggesting they are indentured servants. By that posters math, the $500/week (if there is any accuracy to the math) and a crew bed down below isn't a ton and I don't mind them getting more. I already give them more voluntarily.
  13. It will be nice for sure. I don't worry about the 3 night people, but I do worry about the UDP group making a bunch of reservations, blocking out the restaurant and then changing their plans leaving empty seats in prime time slots. I think this will have to come with some kind of cancellation threshold so we don't get what we see on the entertainment side. Will absolutely make it better on boarding day for cruisers and crew.
  14. Not indentured servitude, but I wouldn't work for $500/week. Neither would my teenager. They don't have to, entry level jobs pay higher. My local Sheetz is paying $640/week and I promise you don't want those folks in and out of your cabin.
  15. I would love to watch this person defend this setup after returning from a long absence. It would be get your popcorn ready viewing I believe.
  16. Maybe make an exception that night and do WJ or talk to the Head Waiter about taking you MTD just for that night or something if it in fact is that way for your sailing.
  17. I think they'll always capitulate to the change, but I think "Substitutions can be made for similar product and size" means they can make substitutions. They should use clearer language if that is really their intent. I think you just hit someone who had never seen it before.
  18. I just always treat it that way and pay upfront. When I calculate $PP/PD I do it after port fees and grats. I would never have them removed but for those inclined, keeping them separate allows for it.
  19. The 14 bucks per person per week is ok by me. I prepay so won't be impacted until I make another booking. From the $14/day it was about 13 months ago, this is like a 28% increase. From the $16, it's 12.5% on top of the 14% climb last year.
  20. By my count this should be 3 cruises. You better call your travel Agent.
  21. I like that sign @Psycho and Barb! You could sell those!
  22. I don't think they are feigning concern, they have concern about it. They don't want to restrict the access just to upset the Diamonds. They just need to address the volume of participants in the CL without dedicating more space to it. I doubt they care too much if Diamonds eat the pigs in blanket.
