    Quantum and Anthem confirmed.

The pricing looks reasonable, noting it is in Aussie dollars, but are not school holiday sailings.

Another point to note, is that the NZ sailing only includes Dusky Sound. No Doubtful or Milford 😞

I was wondering why that sailing was so cheap. I might book even if it is only 9 days. I would like to visit Dunedin, missed out last year.

They were talking about banning ships in Milford

I'm not surprised in the slightest.

If it’s true , going to hurt their bookings . The only reason I would go to the South Island is to see the sounds . The rest are all ugly industrial ports .

Yes. I went to visit all of these ports last year on my 10 day cruise. They were indeed all industrial working ports and were almost like a 25-40 minute bus trip to/from the port. I'm glad I got to see Dusky, Milford and Doubtful then if they really are banning cruise ships from entering the Sounds.

I think this is one of the most important factors.  With Lelepa changing and other developments this isn't the only factor but it's a big one.

It's a huge undertaking on Quantum class.  They make it work, but don't underestimate the level of effort to tender Quantum class.

I had a bad tender experience a few years ago.  As a late arrival to port we got a distant anchorage that made the tendering even worse.  It was after 1pm before the tender line was satisfied and all aboard was 4pm.  This was on Vision class.  Tendering isn't guaranteed easy on any class.

Afaik, on my last cruise when I went to the C&A Exclusive Event where we got to ask the captain and stuff questions, they said that Q-class (Ovation) barely just fits at the OPT.... there's a huge chunk of her that sticks out in the harbour though apparently.

Oasis of the Seas is 15 years old. I would take that one. 🙂

There's no port big enough in Australia to cater to an Oasis-class.... except Brisbane, but Royal is never going to send an Oasis-class to Brisbane... there's no market in Brisbane, now if only a certain government *cough cough* NSW *cough* *cough* would upgrade the Overseas Passenger Terminal.

Quantum is just unsuitable for the islands at the moment.

I just got off Ovation for a 9 nighter and the only port it could get into was Noumea.

Vila is closed because of the earthquake,Mystery island was cancelled and for the first time ever ,for the lack of anywhere else we pulled into Lifou.

They had to split it over 2 days and only half the ship was allowed on the island at one time. A total disaster,2 days off the ship on a 9 night cruise and everyone couldn’t wait to get off .

Maybe they are still dreaming about Lelepa or something. They must be smoking pretty good stuff in Miami.

The megaships just aren't suited for smaller ports. Even during our New Zealand cruise last year, we could barely fit into some of the ports in Picton and Napier and had to use the industrial work ports.

It was full in Jan when we were on there, obviously school holidays, but I'm all for them putting a Quantum class back in Brisbane and actually charging a reasonable price.

Maybe it's the bad exchange rate, but cruising with Royal Caribbean in Aus is no longer worth the money.

Recently returned from Singapore, if they put Navigator there I will definitely booking one of those! Singapore cruises seem to be the best value for money out there.

At this point, you need to take out a loan from the bank to be able to afford to cruise with Royal Caribbean in Australia.. especially Sydney. Brisbane is still okay from what I've seen from the prices. It just seems like RCCL doesn't really care about us and just throw us whatever ships... I mean, we've had Ovation since what? 2016? That's NINE years

There's absolutely no variety... and don't even get me started on the ports.

The rest of the Caribbean comes out next week. After that, only the Asian/Aussie market is left.

I wouldn't get too excited about the Australian market.

It'll just be the same itineraries that it's offering now, except maybe they'll start stopping in Eden more.

    It'll be a combination of:
Hobart/Adelaide, New Zealand, South Pacific, Queensland (Airlie Beach) and then like one Transpacific at the end of the season. - Basically the same thing for the past 3 years.  I guess the thing to get excited about is *which* ship we'll be getting instead.

I’m on Quantum now and it is full.

The port staff have said it has been sailing full, maybe they are discounting to fill it.

The iFly is out of service this cruise as there is a mechanical issue and one side of the flow rider is not working. It was replaced in dry dock but the new one is not functioning as expected.

It seems like they must bbe discounting it, I always see 5 and 7 night cruises out Brisbane for way cheaper than the same itinerary it of Sydney
