cruising diva reacted to DocLC in Join the Insiders and help support Royal Caribbean Blog
I just made the pledge! :)
Might I suggest that pledgers edit their emails to include the statement "Royal Caribbean Insider" and a link to the Patreon page?
Just a thought!

Maybe you can pull some strings during your sailing on behalf of RCL Lover? ;)

I'll be walking off from the 11 night the day you board!

This far out, I would be surprised if you didn't make it in to traditional dining before your sailing.

I have run into this many times, but not to worry. Ask your travel agent or call RC and asked to be put on the waitlist. The waitlist usually comes through.
If that doesnt work, on embarkation day go to the MDR and speak to head chef to be changed.
Between both those strategies, I have never had a problem getting the dining rotation I want.

I just got off the Liberty last week and MTD worked well. I'd recommend making a reservation for your preferred dining time and that way you'll be ensured the same table and wait staff every night. In addition, once you board, go the the MDR and very likely you'll be able to switch into traditional dining.

cruising diva got a reaction from Galveston Steve in Navigator Nov. 9th cruise
If any of you are going on the November 9th Navigator of the Seas cruise out of Galveston, please be aware that there will be 400,000 motorcyclists in town that weekend for a state-wide rally. Hotel rooms are already at a premium both in space and in price.

cruising diva got a reaction from Matt in How did you become interested in taking your first cruise?
My first cruise was in 1984 on Song of America (I was young then!!). At that time, I knew no one who had ever been on a cruise, but I like to travel and decided to take a chance. The rest is history.
I loved being able to unpack once and sample such a variety of activities and excursions. Since then, I have tried Carnival and NCL for only one time each, but I am a true-blue RCCL cruiser now. My next ventures are in November on Navigator OTS and in May 2015 on Independence OTS.

cruising diva reacted to Matt in When does Royal Caribbean paper work arrive in the mail?
Yes they do. We've used them for about 3 cruises now and they hold up quite well

For the printed luggage tags, I use these luggage tag holders to ensure they do not rip: http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/royal-caribbean-luggage-tags

cruising diva reacted to bcarney in Ageism at RCCL!
I'm in the process of going through my online check-in for my April 5 cruise. When I got to the form where I had to select my date of birth, the oldest year that was possible to select was 1900. Why is Royal Caribbean discriminating against 114 year olds? I certainly plan on cruising when I'm that age. Looks like I'll have to find another cruise line when I'm a centenerarian-plus. Holland America (aka "God's waiting room") perhaps?

cruising diva reacted to Don in Changes to Future Cruise Booking OBC
I agree very disappointing! They probably won't be seeing many future reservations - no incintive to do so! I wouldn't waste my time with it -- just wait and book when they offer better incentive to fill unsold cabins. -

Those of us who can only afford the interior cabins are really S.O.O. L. with the new Next Cruise regulation changes......very disappointed, to say the least!!

Welcome Joyce! I don't know about you but I can't wait to go on Navigator! Should be fun and I hope to post as much photos and info as I can. Heck, I'm planning on streaming sail away if you want to watch :)
