  1. This'll be our third cruise since it restarted! First one was on the Celebrity Edge in Sept, followed by the Disney Fantasy in Jan.

We will be going on the Symphony on the April 23rd Western Caribbean and Perfect Day cruise. At CocoCay we will be having a Beach Cabana at Coco Beach Club, very excited about the views and food! First time there. My wife and I also have passes to the thermal suite all cruise, so hopefully it's not too crowded.

    • Day 1 - Depart Miami
    • Day 2 - At Sea
    • Day 3 - Puerto Costa Maya, Mexico (Possibly Mexican Salsa Experience and Beach Break)
    • Day 4 - Roaton, Honduras (BOSS Underwater Adventure)
    • Day 5 - Cozumel, Mexico (Legacy of the Maya: Ruins and Chocolate Tasting)
    • Day 6 - At Sea
    • Day 7 - Perfect Day at CocoCay (Beach Cabana at Coco Beach Club)
    • Day 8 - Worst day ever, Disembarkation

My wife and I are VERY excited for this cruise. We're going with her parents, aunt, cousin, sister, brother-in-law, and two friends. All in all, there will be 10 of us, all with the UDP, my wife and I are planning mostly everything, so it'll be fun trying to make those reservations the first day... We all either have the UDP or Refreshments Package. This is our second cruise on RCL and most of the parties first cruise ever. All of us will be in Balcony rooms, but we submitted a Royal Up bid for a 2-Bedroom Aquatheatre Suite and a Star Loft Suite, for that Genie Service. We only put in the minimum bids, so not expecting to get them.

This community has been so great answering questions about all things cruising. Probably have the entire cruise ship memorized from watching hours and hours of Youtube videos. Let me know if you guys have any recommendations. Will update this as we get closer to the date!

  2. I have a question for y'all. We did royal up bids on a 2 bedroom aquatheatre suite and a star suite. If we win our royal up bid within a week or two of our cruise, can we add people who aren't cruising to our room? Or if they have a room and refund it for FCC? Thank you

I wouldn't pay for one. You can't use them to get on/off the ship at ports and you had to take them off a lot of the time and hand them over when making purchases so they could touch them to the payment pad at the register.  The only real convenience for me was that it allowed me to unlock the door when my hands were full.

It's a non-issue currently because they haven't brought them back since the restart.

Thanks for the info. Wish they had something like the medallion with Princess.

Before I purchased the eMed tests I tried looking into testing at CVS...cost is $139!!  and very difficult to grab an appointment.  Yes there are a couple of Walgreens I checked out in RI but again no appointments available and didn't even get to find out the cost.

There are 7 of us leaving this Sunday to fly to Miami for our Monday cruise and we are getting together at my house Saturday to do the online testing.  I have 2 laptops ready to go so now all we need is to receive 7 Negative results!!!!   Will be praying everyday this week until completed!

Where is Covid testing $139 at CVS? I've only seen no cost covid testing there...

My group of 10 are booked on Symphony of the Seas for the first time in May.  I looked at a February Cruise Compass and did not see Hairspray show on that sailing.  Does anyone know if Hairspray no longer on Symphony or just temporarily not showing? If temporarily suspended, any idea when it will return, we were really looking forward to seeing it.

    😐

    Thanks, Mary.

It appears that Covid has been the culprit with Hairspray - a post over on the RC blog from someone currently onboard said “The cruise director said in a Q&A they are had to restart from scratch after COVID from production to performers etc. Those who own the rights to Hairspray have to give their approval on every aspect of the show before they can perform the show. They have all the performers and are rehearsing but are waiting for approval and they don't have a time frame of when they will get approval. The cruise director said it is a difficult and long process to get approved. ” I had a suspicion Ken might be right, than man lives and breathes RCCL and was onboard these last 2 weeks. This seems to explain why the loss of a number of members would be an issue (Ken said new people had to be hired and to get up to speed).

Found this from last week on another blog.

  6. Question for everyone, I'm in a party of 10, we all have the UDP, and I have everyone's reservation linked to mine. Can I go to a specialty restaurant and create reservations everynight for everyone? We all want to sit together, yes I know it's a very large group. I would make a list I could just show the host. What are the odds that we all could sit next to each other?
