  1. Check in is open. Now we just have to hope the ship gets there.
  2. If you go into manage my cruise from RC website, (the dropdown from the anchor on the left) the balance is there.
  3. Good point. I guess just save all credit card receipts and hope there are no issues. Seems it is always something with the cruise planner.
  4. Planning a whale watching/ lighthouse trip in juneau. Booked direct, this excursion is not offered through RC. Booked the lumberjack show in ketchikan. That is all so far. Heard sitka is easy to explore on your own. Have been to haines, still thinking on that one.
  5. Do RC ships turn back clocks on alaskan cruises? I know they do on European ones, but not carribean.
  6. Air canada used to be decent, i have heard they now just nickel and dime you to death. We are flying from ATL to vancouver in may 2024. Doing direct a day early on delta ( actually westjet.) We seriously thought about the seattle then amtrak option but ultimately decided to pay a little more and avoid potential issues with a tranfer/ layover. We have heard vancouver is pretty easy to navigate
  7. Just booked flights from ATL to vancouver. Took some homework, flights are not cheap but there are deals since this is still kind of the shoulder season.
  8. Kind of disapointed. Was just on harmony, this would explain why jazz on 4 was never opened, a shame, such a unique concept of a jazz club. Too bad it is going away. Btw, did not think casino was that smokey.
  9. Would be suprised if you were totally shut out. I like prebooking shows due to seating, but it was not well advertised. We just happened to stumble on it.
  10. Just remember, it is a marathon, not a sprint. That being said, you cant drink all day unless you start in the morning
  11. From an earlier southern Caribbean sailing (Nov) cruise compasses, looks like formal nights are day 2 and day 7. Also looks like you can reserve shows now, but make sure, it doesn't look like you can modify the show times you picked on-line.
  12. Bring a light windbreaker for the first day but weather is ideal, warm but not oppressive. Humidity will be up there but not as much as in summer.
  13. Just booked this. Think this will be the biggest ship we have been on. Almost overwheming all the options.
  14. Love following the posts. Vreat pictures. Trying to talk wife into artic cruise for our next one. Doing a baltic one tomorrow leaving stockholm.
  15. You did an awesome job with the blog. Keep writing
  16. Im just happy to be able to travel again. Usually nothing will be as grand as you think, nor as bad as you think. My wife and i are annoyed by some things, we usually just try and laugh it off, dont let it ruin your day. You are on a cruise, chances are there is some place on the ship you can go and enjoy. If the worst thing that happens to me today is dealing with a screaming kid at breakfast or waiting an extra minute for my drink, ive had a pretty good day.
  17. Hope you have a great time. You are a very good writer.
  18. Thank you for posting. Very few Baltic posts on this site. We leave on June 26 out of Stockholm, our ship is essentially an Uber, 5 ports in 6 days. (Visby, Kotka, Tallinn, Riga and Klapeidia, Lithuania) Not what we originally signed up for 4 years ago, but wife and I are of the opinion that we can have fun anywhere.....can always find a pub open. Still nervous about the whole thing being derailed by a q-tip, but we will control what we can. Glad you had a good time. Again, thanks for posting.
  19. What a cool creative idea. Have fun. Alaska is beautiful
  20. I had to keep watching ours.....got down to $54, now it is at $75. And our itinerary is essentially an uber......very port intensive.
  21. thank you. We are planners too. I think we are doing it without a tour
  22. Has anyone done this tour? I have heard you really don't need a tour in Estonia. Curious what people who have been there think.
