  1. We had Izumi a couple of times as a late night snack which was fun, and asked him to order it for us at their last call
  2. In the Orlando area our favorites are Marriott cypress harbour sheraron vistana both of which have 2 bedroom units useful for big groups l
  3. We just got back from our sailing on Allure with Nityam as our genie. You have nothing to worry about he is fantastic and extremely detail oriented! I think they are a little backlogged with communication pre cruise because of the increased turn over with guests now that they are doing 3-4 night sailings. It won’t affect your experience, once on board. we were instructed to book chefs table or hibachi in advance if we wanted them as was stated by someone above.
  4. We are cruising with Nityam as our Genie next week I’ll let you know if we have any suggestions for you. We didn’t get the survey for this cruise either, though have for previous star class sailings
  5. On our upcoming allure sailings it’s offered each night at 6:30
  6. Has anyone done chefs table without alcohol? I can’t drink for medical reasons and was never keen to do it because it felt like a lot of the charge was for alcohol. Anyone have experience if you can leave out the wine and whether they adjust the cost based on this?
  7. you can order in room dining at any time at no additional cost from any open venue. This means for breakfast you can order from MDR, CK, or Johnny rockets as well as drinks from Starbucks. If you had other venues open at your breakfast time (eg Mason Jar Brunch) that should also be doable
  8. Thank you to everyone! This was very helpful!!
  9. My family are contemplating a winter 2026 cruise from Florida. We are looking between Adventure and Independence. Costs are fairly comparable, with Independence being slightly more expensive. Any strong feelings on what you would pick or big differentiators? Thanks in advance!
  10. These are great suggestions thanks to all of you!
  11. Thanks so much!
  12. Thanks for asking this! I was hoping to answer the same question though my group has a lab 8 year old and a 65 year old with questionable swimming skills
  13. Has anyone been on this recently? We were going to take a couple of very novice snorkelers and wondered if it would be suitable. If someone wanted to sit out the snorkeling entirely could they just spend time at the beach club?
  14. One of the best things is getting specialty dining delivered to you. I believe that the add ons in specialty dining (eg lobster at chops) are also comp’d. Chefs table is included but you have to pay an add on for the wine. the reason they don’t deliver bottles is so that you don’t just take them home. They will deliver as many glasses of things as you like.
  15. I think the 2 bedroom suite would be amazing for your family plus your mom. We have stayed in these with extended family on both older and newer ships and loved the combination of extra space and two bathrooms. You also get extra suite amenities. The challenge with your group being in a suite and your in laws being in an inside room will mostly be that you will not be able to include them in the amenities that you can use (depending on the ship suite lounge, suite sun deck coastal kitchen, etc). If you wanted to make sure you could all do the same things then you could also do two connecting balcony rooms (your in laws still being in an inside) which would likely be less expensive. Others could probably comment whether booking one of your children into your mothers room in name would allow her to avoid the single supplement fee.
  16. The average person who requests this would probably only need one 4L jug for the sailing. You will probably need more than that for infant feeding. Fill out the special needs form, but also tip your room steward early in the sailing and I would imagine you won’t have an issue.
  17. Anyone gone on this? It’s a glass bottom boat semisub tour in Nassau. I’d love to know if anyone has a review! Thanks!!
  18. This is a good summary. The biggest things would be priority boarding and double C&A points. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2023/04/27/royal-caribbean-junior-suite-perks I think it depends on how much you want to be on Icon.
  19. If you have the UDP I think you should be able I order the plank to go. It would not as others above point out be actually on the plank but the same ingredients would be there. You would have to pick it up yourselves and the restaurant would have to be open. This would also be much cheaper than buying the gift in the cruise planner
  20. What’s happened to star class on Quantum? The rooms typically labeled star class are not. Is this a bug or a feature? This for example is all it says for the owners loft. This is not the case on anthem. Overall it’s interesting on Anthem at least to see how little price difference there is between star class and sky class. I think it mostly reflects how crazy the prices in sky class are, rather than star becoming a bargain.
  21. There’s no right or wrong but I think the most cohesive thing for your family to do would probably be a water park cabana. Otherwise you will end up with one or two people in the water park and therefore not using the cabana and the other 3-4 (depending on whether your 14 year old wanted to go alone) in the cabana. Only downside is you don’t get the beach.
  22. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/aus/en/faq/questions/what-are-the-benefits-of-the-suites-program?country=AUS Room service from the MDR is listed here as a benefit during opening hours for grand suites and higher if anyone gives you trouble.
  23. That’s a bit disappointing though I wonder given it’s the first day on the ship if you’d be too excited to go anyhow. It would probably also be logistically difficult to run a gangway and a check in at the same time
  24. I would make more options on future ships with 2 bedrooms. We love to book 2 bedroom suites but there are so few of them. It seems like a cabin category that would be popular and appealing to families.
  25. we did take out from Izumi on Mariner and it was totally fine. I don’t think we made a reservation for it just called the restaurant when they were open and they told us when we could pick up
