Sailing on the Grandeur in May and wondering what perks are available for Junior Suite guests.
-
Totally agree. We are going on Grandeur in May and very much looking forward to the smaller ship experience. We have sailed out of Miami, Galveston, and soon Port Canaveral, but Galveston and possibly New Orleans will be our main ports.

Sail date not showing anymore
The Fox replied to Wanderlust876's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
The casino recently sent out a free room offer for April. I have noticed since then that all the cruises going out of Galveston are booking faster. Even the May cruises are showing sold out on all Balconies and Suites, and some Interior. -
This morning I was checking the price of our trip Aug 13, 2022, Port Canaveral, on Mariner. Look what I saw:

Did you make any other selections such as state you live in, Senior Discount, Military Discount? I always select those (state is Arkansas). Maybe you have a higher C & A status, as stated before, I am Platinum.- 971 replies

Thanks for the additional pictures. I did exactly that. But my cost doesn't go below balcony cost.- 971 replies

Yes. Either by paper or scan a code. Galveston also has facial recognition. Takes longer to walk all the ramps than it does to get through customs.

I noticed on the deck plans on RC's website and on the cruisedeckplan's website show no elevator stopping on Deck 3. Is this true or just a mistake?

Moving a double points cruise question
The Fox replied to RCIfan1912's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I had a double point cruise that I moved from April to August and I was told that I would still get the double points. They did something on the reservation receipt that showed $100 transfer fee and then took it off so I wasn't charged. -
That's a tough question. It depends on who your intended audience is. Yes, you could go with "cartoony" musicals, but I doubt parents would really want that. Then you have the problem with royalties. The newer the musical, the more the royalties. Here are some that come to mind, not my recomendations necessarily. The Lion King, Cinderella Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, Singin' in the Rain, West Side Story, A Star is Born, My Fair Lady, Oklahoma, Fiddler on the Roof, Phantom of the Opera.

Two years ago we were on Explorer and they still had a cigar lounge, and a bartender too. Many of the ships have smoking on deck 4 or 5 besides having it by the pool area.

I agree that Cats is a difficult to understand musical and it really helps to have read the book it is based on. One thing I did notice about this discussion that some of you brought up is the length of the show. When I saw it in January, it was only 1 1/2 hrs. long. And I know the original was at least 2 1/2 hrs. as I saw that live 30 yrs ago on broadway. Apparently the director took some liberties and rewrote/cut some music to make it fit into a smaller time frame. I have done this with most of the musicals I have directed. In some cases it really doesn't matter, but I think in this musical it left out enough, hence making it even more difficult to understand. Regardless, I loved the musical and would have seen it again if it was allowed.

Maybe it's because you have 5 people and there aren't any rooms available for 5.

Walgreen's Change Covid Testing
The Fox replied to not easy being green's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
This morning I tried booking at Walgreen's in Jacksonville, FL where we are staying and the website only showed 3 days in advance for scheduling. However, I was able to book Jan 29 at CVS. I chose their rapid antigen test (never done this before) and I hope that's the correct one. I figured since we were here, we would hold on to our tests we bought from Optum for this cruise and use them in May, since they won't expire. -
I'm not familiar with them either. Do you have to wager money or just play to play?
-
I thought so, but just wanted to check and make sure.

What do you mean by close in deals?

They sent us an invitation through email.
