  1. I know it is in certain other instances, but I stand corrected if it is not for cruising. Feel feel to erase my post if you wish.
  2. I am pretty sure it is acceptable to show your positive Covid test result for up to 90 days as a "work around."
  3. I know that, but you are still paying for the one to get on a plane heading to Canada. That is a Canadian requirement. Then you pay with your time, the hassle, the quarantining while you wait for your result, and also the ridiculousness of another test. Additionally, we have been assured that it will soon be 100% testing, not simply "random" testing.
  4. The point is that the Canadian government requires a PCR to enter (in addition to the one we are supposedly going to take on arrival) to avoid quarantine, but we can enter the U.S. and get on board a ship with an antigen. Big difference in price. Royal can't keep footing the bill forever.
  5. I'm curious how many pols made amazingly timed stock purchases?
  6. 13 days - Central Park Balcony Guarantee to Junior Suite. Sailing on Dec. 30 - notified Dec. 17.
  7. I bought a Manulife policy for two that was pretty cheap. They also have a family option which covers four. It covers Covid expenses and gives a daily per person stipend that would be enough in FL.
  8. Thank you for posting that - I see it. I guess they need to let their phone reps know. I did talk with one for a 3/4 of an hour last night. I sail on Dec. 30th, so it won't affect me. That is why the link helps - there is a difference between "ends Jan. 5" and "sailing after Jan. 5." Thanks again.
  9. Where is that documented? I spent quite a bit of time on hold with Royal a bit ago and they say as of this point there is no change. Please put up a link if you see something different. That is a good habit in general so people can see things. Too often "rumors" turn into long discussions, but they turn out to have no foundation.
  10. I am on that sailing and have been checking - not sure I am seeing the same thing.
  11. My wife and I just got Royal Upped - Junior Suite on Allure for 9 days. Under 4K total - 4K Canadian by the way. Yessssssssssssssssss
  12. I am going on my cruise on Dec. 30th, that is what I am doing.
  13. Everyone should go wherever they want to - we have charter rights of freedom of mobility and association. These freedoms have been taken from us for nearly two years and it is time to say enough.
  14. Make sure that you go through the process with Royal Caribbean BEFORE complaining. I have had issues with them at times and always felt they worked it out to my satisfaction. Every company will have employees, etc. make errors and they deserve a chance to fix them. I think this is especially true in this environment. Royal has worked very hard to get people back to cruising and has tried to make it as painless for us as possible. It isn't there fault that the rules they have to follow keep changing.
  15. Merci M. Jean-Yves, mais mes vacances si longtemps reporteés m`attendent.
  16. “If we keep getting vaccinated and people get their booster shots and we get kids vaccinated and we continue to follow public health rules, we’re going to make it through this winter and into a much better summer,” Trudeau said. How many times are they going to tell us the same thing? How many times are we just going to take it? Tell them NO. They aren't smarter than we are, they don't care more about my family and friends than I do, they aren't doing it for our good. They are politicians and they only understand one interest - their political future - tell them NO.
  17. If you need a place to quarantine, come on over to our place. We have plenty of room and would be happy to have visitors.
  18. Canadians should be raising a fuss instead of complaining on message boards - call, write, email and tell your leaders NO. Enough of our freedoms, which include mobility rights, being stripped away. Time to say no.
  19. I have already written Doug Ford's office and the Office of the P.M. People have had enough, it is time to live our lives again and vacations are an important part of that especially after the past two years.
  20. Not more than an hour - it really is focused on the snorkeling (three stops, but one it beach if you prefer).
  21. Best activity we have ever done in the Caribbean. We are looking forward to do this one again in January!
  22. Too bad about the speedboat tour cancellation - it is THE best excursion I have ever done in the Caribbean and I am looking forward to doing it again in early Jan.
