  1. Oh, she will most definitely be wow'ed. The only problem is that you'll need to find a way to un-wow her, or else she'll only be flying in first class and sleeping in grand suites from now on.
  2. I currently only have one cruise booked and the FCC/cancellation process was a headache. Some of you have like 50 cruises booked and I can't imagine what those spreadsheets look like ?
  3. It looks like Canada is requiring every passenger to be vaccinated in order to travel by air, train and cruise ships. (No date though) "Starting soon, all commercial air travellers and passengers on interprovincial trains and large marine vessels with overnight accommodations (such as cruise ships) will have to be vaccinated" https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/federal-government-mandatory-vaccinations-1.6140131
  4. It looks like 6710 is located on the big "bump" at the back of the ship. The obstruction is probably the the steel structure partially blocking the view of the ocean. You'll see a blocked view of the ocean, but you'll have a much bigger balcony. I found a photo on cruisedeckplans.com It's not the exactly the same room, but you can judge it for yourself.
  5. Let's say you get off the ship at ~8:00 am. That leaves around 6 hours to get to the airport, check in etc. which IMO is plenty of time.
  6. The beds and sofas alternate so it goes bed near window, bed near door, bed near window... If you really wanted to know which orientation your stateroom is, a good site is https://www.cruisedeckplans.com. It's a library of stateroom photos that other people took so you can see where the bed is located. If there isn't a picture of the stateroom, you could always find the closest one that has pictures then figure out which orientation your room is, since it alternates.
  7. I live in Canada, but I was lucky and got both doses Pfizer ?
  8. @Matt posted an article about cruise line policies regarding mixed vaccines and it says Royal Caribbean is not one of them, however, someone just posted this on reddit. I guess Royal Caribbean is requiring both doses to be from the same brand ?
  9. Guaranteed means that you are guaranteed a balcony. That balcony could be partially obstructed, it could be facing the inside of the ship in Central Park/Boardwalk, or they could possibly upgrade you to a higher category. However, most of the time it is just a regular ocean view balcony room.
  10. I remember Royal was using contact tracing wristbands during the Quantum of the Seas sailings in Singapore. There hasn't been any indication that they will be using these wristbands on the US sailings or Nassau sailings. Why are they using it on Quantum but not anywhere else?
  11. Yes! Remember to get reservations for shows (reservations are free). Unlike smaller ships, Oasis Class ships have reservations. You'll see a long line up outside of shows, but those are people who didn't get reservations and they're in a standby line. If you have reservations you can walk right past them!
  12. Found this: https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2015/08/03/top-10-freedom-of-the-seas-hidden-secrets I'm pretty sure @Matt made one for every ship. Just search on google "(Ship Name) hidden secrets" and Royal Caribbean Blog is the first thing that shows up.
  13. Go on the Royal Caribbean instagram. They have some pretty great photos you can use as wallpapers
  14. Mostly all the activities are included, such as ifly, bumper cars, north star, flowrider etc.
  15. The north star only costs money for China sailings. Since the sailing isn't out of China, you can ride it as many times as you'd like for free.
  16. Has anyone ever tried bringing the park cafe sandwiches off the ship for a port day? I think they would make a great meal/snack if we were to go on a shore excursion far from port. Are there any regulations that prohibit bringing stuff like this off the ship and would it really matter if you just snuck it in a bag?
  17. What is this new area behind the helipad on Odyssey? It looks like there are some daybeds there and also some stairs that lead up to there.
  18. I've never stayed there, but I do know that these suites do not have balconies or outdoor space. There was also another thread on this, and someone shared a video about this room. The views do look pretty spectacular though.
  19. Yeah, I wonder why they didn't make it an extra tall balcony for the staterooms below, or an very long extended balcony for the staterooms to the left and right.
  20. So I was watching a central park stateroom video on symphony of the seas, but I noticed there was this empty area on top of the balconies. What is that?
  21. We had a cruise on symphony that was supposed to sail March 2020. Coincidentally, that was the week where everything started to go wrong so our cruise was one of the first to get cancelled. We decided the book the same sailing for March 2021, but that was just cancelled [again]. We booked again for March 2022 on Symphony, but that is when Wonder of the Seas is supposed to be delivered. I want to be able to say we sailed on the worlds largest cruise ship ?, but it looks like Wonder is supposed to be delivered in March also. When would be the first sailing on Wonder of the seas?
  22. Another big difference is that they removed the indoor pool, which was on the other quantum class ships. This is probably because odyssey will be sailing to warmer destinations. Quantum: Odyssey:
