  1. The ironic thing for me is I'll be on vacation when booking for this cruise opens. A vacation that was SUPPOSED to be a southern Caribbean cruise.
  2. I would imagine they've had a plan for this for some time. But the actual implementation of the plan could be a challenge in getting a qualified and vaccinated crew on board.
  3. Note that for kids 10 and under, they do not need a negative PCR test to get the Bahamas health visa. My big concern is you need a test w/in 5 days if arriving, but you need to start your visa application at least 48 hours before arriving. That's a concerningly small window of time to get a PCR test result back.
  4. Air2Sea still has the European sailings listed for Adventure
  5. I wonder if they'll have late night festivities on the island
  6. Any indication that they're all 7-day cruises? I'm trying to do the math on July cruise dates
  7. My wife had to show insurance. Probably all depends on state and what bucket of funds got the pool of vaccines yours is being drawn from.
  8. "Cruise executives say they expect the C.D.C. to issue the technical requirements soon." By "soon" I assume the CDC means "by the end of the year"
  9. I can definitely see the major cruise lines re-evaluating their reliance on American home ports the longer the CDC continues their embargo. Maybe not as much short term, but definitely longer term.
  10. Reinfection has been proven in an extreme minority of cases, and even then it's not conclusive if they ever had covid in the first incidence. Plus there are recent studies showing covid antibodies last at least 6 months, if not longer.
  11. But all don't have to be vaccinated, just 18+ (which is the correct policy to have if vaccines are going to play into cruising)
  12. Surprisingly, the word "mask" does not appear anywhere in the FAQ https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Royal/Deployment/2021_2022/AD_FAQs.pdf
  13. So if the dates and prices work out, I could cancel my other July cruise (which I've put no money into except FCCs) and book Adventure without any extra change fees?
  14. I would imagine fares will be sky high for these cruises
  15. Good news and bad news at the same time.
  16. The state-level vaccination you basically just put your name on a list and wait until they notify you (my wife got notified the first day she was eligible). The pharmacy-level vaccination program is more a direct signup
  17. I'm eligible today for a vaccine but none of the signup websites for my state have been updated to allow my group to register.
  18. CDC is going to great lengths to keep the cruise ships out of the water
  19. I've used a lot of promo codes. Just, none of them ever work.
  20. Yeah, good point. That other site tends to have less favorable outcomes for this type of thread topic.
  21. I was expecting this to be an anti-travel agent thread.
