  1. We got the blanket on our Alaska cruise. For $25.99 I didn't have much hope for it, but it was actually a really nice thick blanket worth every penny.
  2. I only ever get one of two things but we have some friends coming with us this time. I always intend to take a picture of it when on board but always forget.
  3. It's the same across the board. Use your Set Sail pass until rooms are ready, and waiting for you there is your Sea Pass card
  4. I've been told by some bar staff that they don't like getting $2 bills because they have to get rid of them due to their home countries not accepting them when they go to deposit the money.
  5. Cruise lines can accept the "old" test. Cdc actually came out formally with that guidance this week.
  6. Kind of apropos that they're testing a fast internet solution on a ship named Freedom
  7. There's already one SSA and we all know we don't need another!
  8. I'd like to see RC source their own "brand" of bourbon. I mean it's all coming from MGP anyway, but it'd be an interesting novelty to serve "Royal Caribbean Whiskey"
  9. I just assumed it was some limited crew trial, not actually using it for passengers. This especially since they don't have FCC approval to do it
  10. Sure they have contracts and group rates that they can access, but I just meant their user interface to actually book probably is a 3rd party one
  11. Today would be a good day to announce major protocol changes with all the other stuff in the headlines that would push cruise protocols to the back page.
  12. The RC hotel search is a wrapper around Priceline so it wouldn't surprise me if their airline booking engine is just a wrapper around Priceline or Kayak or one of the other companies under that Booking umbrella
  13. Just remember an early check-in time does not necessarily equate to an early boarding time because even though you've gone through check-in the ship may not be cleared to board for some time later.
  14. Problem with the color coding is this is purely historic data using very unrealistic thresholds. It is rather meaningless in predicting future cruises. Really all that should matter are percentage of cases that require medical care not available on board ship. While that too doesn't project future cruises, it does show the true impact of covid on board since the whole point of these protocols was to prevent onboard medical staff from being overwhelmed. Frankly they may be more overwhelmed with the quarantine rules than they would without.
  15. Last October the CDC put out a report breaking down case rates and hospitalization rates on board. I wonder if they plan to do this again. And I sure hope not waiting until October again to do it.
  16. I have no idea but I doubt it since they're selling their own product, not someone else's.
