Losmabies, I would also add that in these uncertain times there are a lot more people having to cancel at the last moment. So Royal’s third party, I believe, are keeping a lot more “alternatives (pending)” for all that uncertainty.  I do believe all the rooms in that category are sold-out because if rooms were available Royal would keep trying to sell online at a premium price until closer to sail date.   Even though all rooms are showing “booked” there’s still a chance for you.

1128 and we’re at lunch. As soon as I scarf down some guacamole I’ll go over boarding process. But it was smooth!

Around a week before my October 2nd Symphony of the Seas sailing two of my three bids showed expired.  I could no longer modify my grande suite pending room.  Kept doing mock bookings online so I knew there were at least five grande suites available.  I was notified four days before sailing that we had won the grande suite.  Ten hours later my credit card was charged.  Odd, that I was notified first then charged.  Started with a free casino balcony room.  Bid $975 each for hubby and myself for the grande suite. Cancelled my internet package as that comes with the Grande Suite.  Just under $2200 (instead of $7,000 online) we experienced the suite life.  It was absolutely wonderful.  Lots got the junior suite for a minimum bid.  

Quick update. 12 days to go. 
i’m following a report of someone sailing this week and posting on another site. Mama Mia is scheduled for Friday and Saturday this week. Other shows and activities seem normal according to him. Seems the Cruise Director left kind of unexpectedly last Sunday and a new one is in place. We’ll just keep our fingers crossed and continue to countdown!
Here’s the greatest thing so far:  someone asked on a FB group if anyone was going to be on the Allure in the next few weeks. I responded that I would be aboard on the 17th.  He then asked if I’d be willing to purchase some tuna pouches and Ben’s rice and take it to Romeo at the Champagne bar. Seems Romeo had taken great care of this couple and had also indicated that he missed his tuna and Ben’s rice!😂. So of course I will now be shopping for those items before we leave. I explained to the gentleman that as I get older the “firsts” in my life come less often. But this was a first!  A total stranger asked me to buy some tuna, cart it about 3000 miles and then give it to another guy I don’t know and haven’t met. I’m all in!  The tuna caper. It shall be blogged!
 
 

Over the moon excited!  Upgrade accepted to the Grand Loft Suite!!

I'm just happy to have questions about things like The Key instead  of "will my cruise actually sail?" lol

Tonight we officially added Kenzie and Jeremy to our reservation.  I was initially waiting because we weren't sure if Jeremy was going to be able to travel in time due to travel restrictions in Malaysia (he's in the air as I type), and then Kenzie came down with a breakthrough case of Covid last month and we were waiting for her to test negative (she did that last weekend - yay).  
A month ago, I had called and received a quote on how much it would cost to add them (and then made a note of that amount).  When calling tonight, I was hopeful that the representative would have been able to pull up that number without any assistance.  However, the amount she came back with was almost double what it should have been.  After a little nudge from me to ensure we received the same price, and a lengthy hold, she came back and honored the original price we had been quoted.  Yay!
Once I was off the phone, I got them checked in.  I'm so happy they gave us the same check-in time at the terminal!  I was a little worried their time would come back different.
Next up...SHOPPING!!  🥰🥰  Never fear - I have a paper bag on standby for Tim (to assist with the hyperventilating).  LOL!
 

Nice!  That's our next SC cruise.  We'll be in 9730. It was originally going to be a 2BAT on Symphony in 2022 and then Allure came out with crazy good deals and we jumped ship from Symphony to Allure to save almost half!  I'll be watching for your posts next February!  🙂

That’s awesome for you!  We are booked in the 8th floor Aqua suite on the Allure next February.  We booked right during Covid’s peak, and got a wonderful deal for the five of us.  Having a casino discount helped big time too!!  I can’t wait to experience a genie!!!  Keep us inform or just share your excitement!!
