If you put a member of your family in a different room to protect deposit, they will be on passenger manifest in that room for check in. Once in the ship, go to guest services (usually no line on embarkation) and ask for seapass to be changed so that it works for the room your family will be staying in. Other family will need to do the same assuming they have one of their children in your room. If kids are young enough to not need their cards then skip this. The ability to get two suites (or regular rooms, but then consider refundable) at release price and share a vacation with another family is worth potentially losing $100/person to move the second room deposits if you can’t find anyone to travel with. (Sad)

A strategy I use when another family is interested but not fully committed: I put one of my kids names down as second guest in the room of interested family. If original family opts out another family can be added with my kids name staying on reservation and one of their kids being put in my room. Once on the ship, a simple trip to guest services can fix the Seapass card problem. I also link the reservations so each family can check in their people and set accounts up correctly. This strategy works great for the hard to get suites that I often book 2+ years out and recognize the difficulty in a commitment from a second family to travel with mine. I have yet to have this not work out. Worst case scenario is change name of first guest on second room and then pay the $100/person fee to move to a later date.

Size speculation? Big enough to jump in? Hopefully deep enough for when bathroom line is long. -

That's pretty normal amongst this crowd. ? I use sidewalk chalk to keep notes on my driveway. Two drawbacks to this method- neighbors look at me funny sometimes it rains -

Any equipment moved in or surveying? 10 days left in April. If nothing happens soon, those who booked first Allure sailings will have reason to be nervous.- 965 replies

Wonder of the Seas Deck Plans Revealed
AlmondFarmer replied to twangster's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
The two bedroom grands suites are gone from this area on 9,10 and 12. They are not moved to 17 or 18. This may be a Asian market change. On sailings I consider (mainly US) these suites get booked early. -

Complaints have been made about sport court noise on other four Oasis class rear facing deck 17 lofts. Suite restaurant (coastal kitchen?) now occupies this area. Improvement in my opinion. -

Wonder of the Seas Deck Plans Revealed

New interior staterooms taking up Royal Promenade space, bummer. Maybe I’m reading plans wrong but if deck 17 is grand suites and there are two level crown loft suites on deck 18, wouldn’t there be a deck 19? -
I tried the same thing but failed for a different reason. I was making too many hens meat.

Since Michael Bayley likely reads this blog every morning, I feel it is our duty as cruise fans to provide suggestions which might help Royal Caribbean stay in business. Once sailings resume, a potential reduction in passenger capacity may be in place. Therefor a reduction in crew seems appropriate. I think passengers could step up to fill the void and Royal could reward them accordingly. Job-Sing washy washy song at Windjammer entrance. Reward- drink package (helps with job) Job- Scan ocean for other ships/obstacles and report hazards to captain. Reward- keep the binoculars (if voyage is free of collisions) Job- be a cook at Izumi Hibachi Reward- Unlimited dining package (if egg into hat trick is successfully executed) Job- fix a plugged stateroom toilet Reward- a new Royal Caribbean branded outfit These are some of my ideas and I’m sure Mr. Bayley would like to read others as well.

I ask for radio silence until sailings are available for booking. Many who are following this thread may be using notifications for alerts of availability and the chatter creates false starts. I recognize the irony in posting this request and look forward to further discussions once we all make our booking(s).

True, but flying in early, like on the Thursday before and flying home on the Friday after Thanksgiving can not be as busy. Book flights the day they are released. (The tried and true cruise booking strategy) Major airlines are usually 11 months out. I have thanksgiving flights this fall which have tripled in price.

Hopefully it isn’t a flashing red light. United States needs a CDC roundabout.

State of Florida Sues CDC Over Cruise Shut Down
AlmondFarmer replied to UNCFanatik's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
More importantly, airlines were permitted to conduct their business. When associated with government, permit is a verb not a noun. -
We had trivia on Summit, and they were British Pub style. I bet you will be pleasantly surprised! Does Celebrity enforce the British Pub Trivia rule of chugging ones beer for incorrect answer? I may be confusing British rules with Irish.

State of Florida Sues CDC Over Cruise Shut Down

Maybe California will contemplate convening a study to explore the idea of considering a tentative involvement in a limited commitment to a flexible proposal surrounding the concept of engaging in preliminary discussions with the CDC. I will provide an update on this in 6 months.
