But kids haven't made the personal choice not to get vaccinated because no vaccine is available to them.
I agree with the 100% vaccinated. Kids are now eligible at 12 and older. If parents choose not to vaccinate them, then keep the off the cruise.

On the topic of inconsistent rules enforcement, we have found it frustrating when noisy kids are in the Solarium (e.g, not supervised properly by parents). But I'd say I am not bent out of shape about this as most ships still have a quiet space somewhere.
Totally agree...that is one of our biggest complaints. The Solarium is labeled as Adult (above 16) only, but rude parents still let their kids run wild in there. RCL needs to do something about that.

If Celebrity is successful at non-smoking casinos, why can't RCCL be?

If you by measures and restriction you mean masks (we wear them so often now we don't even notice it), less crowds, more open areas and more staff per patron I'm all in. Let the "I'm not going until I can wave my freak flag when ever and where ever" stay home and I and my spouse will enjoy ourselves. We have four cruises booked throughout 2021 and I'm in-line for the vaccine as soon as it is available which will be soon here for my group in Texas. Will have our card and passports stamped "COVID-19 Inoculated" so we can enjoy life, the beach and other ports of call. Watch out 2021, here I come!
Where do you get your passports stamped that you're innoculated?

We're scheduled on the 'Lady G' out of Barbados in April '22. Hope this still happens now.

Love, love, love playing the slots...could play for hours (as long as there are drinks available). But HATE the smoke in the casino. Certainly hope the cruise lines take this health concern into major consideration, or may have to switch to Celebrity, even though Diamond and Prime on RCL.

Since some of the Odyssey sailings were cancelled, it could be that RCG is holding the rooms back or a ton of L&S have occurred. My Oct 2021 Allure had almost all the rooms opened before the Liberty fiasco. Now when I do a mock booking, there aren't as many rooms available. I don't think they have started reducing capacities just yet, I think some itineraries are booked up.
What Liberty fiasco are you referring to? Being in Texas, always interested in references to the Liberty.

Wish they would do a longer cruise out of Galveston. We did one on Carnival years ago (before we starting cruising with Royal Caribbean) that went through the Panama Canal, etc...2 weeks. I think there are so many repeat cruisers in Texas who are bored with the current itineraries that people would "jump" at something like that once cruising starts again. I also hope Celebrity comes to Galveston. If Royal Caribbean doesn't go non-smoking in the casino, we will start cruising Celebrity, but prefer to cruise out of Texas since we can drive.

Has anyone heard what Royal Caribbean plans to do with smoking in the casinos when cruising starts again? Or, will they follow Celebrity's lead and be non-smoking?
So with new test requirement, what will you do (if anything) to increase chances of testing negative?

Our cruise isn't until October, so this could all change by then (hopefully for the better). We're driving to Port Canaveral from Texas to avoid flying, but will be having several stops in between. Of course, we'll be wearing masks when we're out of the car, sanitizing and social distancing as much as possible. Does anyone know if the "self-tests" sold at CVS are valid? It would be easier to buy some of these tests before we leave home if we can use them.
