  1. Best advice…thanks Raye! And I like the wording GenPop soooo much more than “the poors”!
  2. This looks delicious and right up my alley! Where should I try to find this when on Symphony of the Seas?
  3. Funny I was thinking the same thing! I’ve had it in my cart for my May cruise (includes my 2 grandsons and my youngest daughter…their Mom) and now is the time to finalize. Not that I eat oysters but there is enough on the menu to really enjoy a nice dinner outside of the MDR!
  4. This is pretty fun…counting down on the roll call! But wondering where are all the cruisers for this one? I heard there is quite a group on the Facebook roll call but since I am not a social media ‘mogul’…this is all I can do! 80 DAYS TO GO…. I’ve got the “Cruise group” coming over this Friday night to talk cruise details. To keep the kids busy…they will be tasked with making personalized magnets for their doors!
  5. Only big increases for my sailings on the books. Last price drop was for my May Symphony cruise and that was several months ago! Sadly, pricing is getting a bit steep for me to continue cruising as I have been . I can’t even find a decent price for mid-2025 cruises!
  6. We stayed at same hotel last November…the room was very nice (we had a King suite)…breakfast-just ok. I drink my coffee with light cream (my one habit I will never break!) so could not drink theirs as they have those little creamers . We also LOVED Batch Gastro Pub! The food was sooo good! I am currently in San Antonio staying at the Hampton Inn and coffee is awful! Luckily my granddaughter and I found a cute little shop around the corner with Starbucks like coffee so every morning this week we walked there before breakfast to grab our coffees (well, I got a Caramel Macchiato and she got a Caramel Blended frozen drink).
  7. When we were on Freedom of the Seas our son got very friendly with one of the bartenders at the pool bar. Every time this bartender saw my son he would call him over to try his special drinks! One was a BBC which quickly became a favorite for all of us! It was Banana, Baileys, Colada and was delicious! Of course the hidden innuendo made this drink fun to ask for!
  8. Curious minds (mine ) want to know…were any bids successful? Or is it still too soon to find out?
  9. are those bows or shower thingees? I use ribbons but those look a bit wild! Yes I am vintage…really getting used to that description now! I love “pet” names. Several years ago one of my granddaughters started calling me “Juicy”..no clue why but regardless the name stuck and now all 5 grandkids lovingly call me by that name!
  10. I was there in November and saw no jellyfish at Columbus Cove…it’s a pretty decent walk to get there but IMO worth the effort. There were venders set up behind the beach chair area but if you don’t look at them they leave you alone…that was my experience. This beach area is very quiet and there is a food area close by as well as a bar. The water was perfect! BTW this was my second trip to Labadee and I will be there again this May. My first time we grabbed chairs at Adrenalin Beach. I wasn’t impressed as there was lots of seaweed in the water! Actually there was a little area behind where we sat that was most likely for kids…but I had fun there! Also there was a bit of a walk to the bathrooms and food area. I know you have a cabana so hopefully your visit will be different from mine!
  11. Question for anyone familiar….do the casitas keep you in the shade all day? Any opportunity for some sunshine or do you need to find other chairs for the sun? Probably would be nice if the casita actually included a few “sun chairs” as well!
  12. Ah you mention the 2 ships (both new to me!) that I will be on this year! Feeling excited to experience both of them! 90 days til SoS…and 206 for Utopia! @asquared17 If you Live blog…I will follow!
  13. The prices I have been quoted from Josh have always been lower and refundable!!! He also includes OBC. No, I do not book suites (I’m considered…at least by this blog community…as a “Poor”) but I always book OV Balcs. Also…The refundable price is typically lower than the non refundable price!
  14. I recently began using Josh from MEI. Have no regrets. https://mei-travel.com/josh.crothers
  15. I’ll have to complain to the website… . Sadly a lot of the websites we (I) depend on for ship information just do not deliver in accuracy! Kind of frustrating. Sorry, @Simon84 for misleading you with the perks!

  17. If you go to www.cruisedeckplans.com you can see the obstruction. Their is a video of room 6216 showing exactly what that room sees. Your cabin is right now door to the left of what you see on this video. Looks like your view will only have that small boat to look over? https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/ships/slideshow-cabin-members.php?ship=Odyssey-of-the-Seas&cabin=6216
  18. LOL and gamble and report lots of interesting stories (AKA shenanigans)!
