  1. Resurrecting this blog. Senior pricing is back on certain items in the cruise planner!
  2. Perhaps this particular ship is arriving back to port later than typical….OR…there will be an inspection taking place after passengers depart but before new passengers embark. Arriving that early when embarkations begin at Noon is a bit overzealous, no?
  3. Hope your scratchy throat has disappeared and you’re feeling much better! Loved following along in this post and cruise!
  4. Hope the weather is picture perfect for you and Dan! I’ll be checking back in…here and there…to read any posting updates! Peggi
  5. I don’t know but I feel like I am starting to see more Utopia ads than Icon. My bet is if there is going to be an add it will be for Utopia.
  6. Mine arrived yesterday! Fastest delivery ever from Amazon. Got two of them and…yes…I had to immediately open them and play!
  7. - i have never seen such short hemlines in my entire human life. the things i have seen due to lack of an appropriate skirt length CANNOT BE UNSEEN. I had to laugh when I read your above comment. I constantly feel that way! It is typically very young girls (teens) wearing this type of “dress?” and my first thought is…is she wearing shorts under that? THEN I find myself (shamelessly) watching to see what happens when it’s time to sit! I get embarrassed for these girls (not sure why) and at the same time wonder Why does anyone think this is appropriate and complementing? And that’s to the parents as well! Call me a fuddy duddy but….
  8. It’s been fun following along with you. Thank you for this blog…and thank you for your service! I never miss a Veteran’s salute onboard. My Dad proudly served in the Army during World War II and when he passed away I took all his service memorabilia. Just last week I found his issued Bible with a letter signed in 1941 by Franklin D Roosevelt. My Dad served in 1944. Glad you had a relaxing vacation!
  9. This might sound strange but can you take a picture of the wave action…if you can? I know I need to brace myself for whenever it’s my turn to experience high seas…fingers crossed it’s not in the near future! Just want to visualize what it’s like. Thanks
  10. I’m emerald but haven’t gotten anything yet. Might have to stop at the loyalty desk in May? oops…didn’t see @CrimsonCruiser post til after this one!
  11. How’s the weather holding up? I looked at cruisemapper earlier and it looked like some hefty seas where you are! Not sure what that does to the pool area onboard?
  12. Ok…about the music . Now, I am a pre vintage (according to @asquared17) born in the mid 50’s. Have always loved 50’s and early 60’s music. Early 70’s we’re my high school years so 70’s are quite reminiscent for me! My Sirius XM was always on SoulTown….love that channel! But a few weeks ago my awesome 12 yr old grandson switched the channel to 70’s on 7. I am now reliving my disco days lol dancing and bopping to the music in my car! Hopefully Symphony will have me dancing down the promenade and pool areas
  13. So happy to see the sun for you! Soak it up…sunny days are so sweet!
  14. Geez I just checked cruisemapper to see where Oasis is! Doesn’t look pretty! Year of built2009 Length (LOA)362 m / 1187 ft Passengers6431 DestinationBS COC>HT LAB ETAFebruary 8, 11:30 Speed18 kn / 33 km/h 71°F 21.6°C Strong breeze 12.7 m/s High 5.3 m
  15. Intrigued while reading about everyone’s early morning adventures…I decided I will finally check this out myself. I typically do not wake up before 6:30 (when cruising) but during my May cruise I will definitely grab a few early morning walkabouts. That’s the beauty of reading the live blog section! I get so much information which builds my curiosity. Thanks for the mentions!
  16. Labadee….take the hike to Columbus Cove (it’s really not that bad of a walk!). I think that is the best beach area on the island! The food buffet is close by…as is a bar. There are a few floats anchored in the water to relax on if able to grab one! Great view of the ship across the water and the water is really beautiful. Lots of chairs and umbrellas too. Coco Cay…absolutely check out the food at the Snack Shack! Funnel cakes are devine! As far as beach area? I prefer South Beach but last time we were there the water was full of jellyfish 🪼 yuck! We ended up heading to Oasis Pool and loved it…especially the end furthest away from the bar area! I’ll be checking out HideAway Beach in May…since I got an awesome price I figured why not?
  17. Why not have your TA do the initial booking for you? Typically TA’s offer lower prices and better deals! Tell your TA exactly what you are looking for and relax until you hear back!
