  1. Our grand daughter is 5.  I had our son sign the RCCL form that I printed on their website, and filled out.  We had it notarized, just to be safe.  I also have her insurance card, and original birth certificate to take with us in May.   She does not have a passport.  After reading through this thread, I hope there is nothing I am missing. It will be our first time taking her on a cruise, and I want it to go as smooth as possible.

  2. My family and I are taking a cruise in May on RCCL. We have 2 rooms reserved, a balcony and an inside cabin.  The inside cabin is in my name, and the balcony is in my wife's name, because we could use up our FCC's easier that way.  The minor we have booked  with my name in the inside room is probably going to be a no show.  We had 5 people going, so that was the reason for the inside room.  With the pricing I got on the rooms, and with the FCC dispersement between the 2 rooms, it would cost us several hundred dollars to cancel her, and move me into the balcony room.  Plus, it's so close to sail date, we don't know if new FCC's could be generated and able to be used in time.  Can I just keep her on the booking, and make her a no show at the port?  What happens to the room rate if I do that?  It would make that room a single occupancy room at that point.  Would I get refunded her share of the cruise fare, taxes & fees, and prepaid grats?  I just really need to know what Royal does about no shows at the port.   Any thoughts on this, or advice?  Has anyone had this happen to them before, and what did Royal do?

  3. Just got the email from RC saying our itinerary was changed on Jan 23 2022 sailing on Odyssey OTS.  Changed from Falmouth & Grand Caymans to Costa Maya & Cozumel.  I understand the changes, but my wife and I have been avoiding Mexico on cruises for several years now.  Is there any compensation coming from RC?  Or are we just stuck with the new itinerary?  We are still going to go, but just wondered if anyone has had any luck getting any OBC added because of changes to itinerary, or any other compensation.

  4. Does anyone know how strict they are on the rule that says passport cards must not expire for 6 months after the cruise date?   We are on a May 30, 2022 cruise, and my 2 daughters passport cards expire Sept. 11, 2022.  Do I need to renew their cards before we go?  Or will it be OK to cruise within 4 months of expiration?  Thanks.

  5. I took the advice of some members on here, and contacted Royal on messenger with an FCC question.  They responded in lightning time, and actually found more FCC's under my name and my wife's name than my TA had told me we had.  I was very happy with the chat results with customer service.  All up until the end.  I asked if I could have all the info emailed to me, so I could forward voucher numbers and amounts to my TA so she could apply them to a cruise we have on hold.  This is the exact quote from my chat with customer service. "Hey Brad, we are not physically reissuing FCC's.  You can just provide the information Yami provided, to your TA, and she'll know what to do regarding redemption."  What?? Not reissuing FCC's?  Am I missing something?  Is everyone else that's waiting for FCC's to be reissued just going to have to figure it out on their own?  I think this is another problem that Royal needs to fix.

  6. I'm sure someone knows the answer to this, so any help would be great.  As with everyone else, my wife and I have FCC's from several cancelled cruises.  We had original FCC certs issued after the first one.  We have now booked Odyssey in Jan of 2022, using some of the FCC we have.  Do we have to wait until after that cruise is complete to get a new certificate issued for the remainder of unused FCC?  We are looking to book another cruise in May 2022 to use them up.  But, if I remember correctly, we have to use FCC's by April 2022, and sail by Sept 2022.  Are these rules still in effect?  Will RCCL issue me a new FCC cert if I request one? Thanks in advance.

  7. We are booked on Navigator in May.  We have 2 joining balconies, my wife and I in room 1, and our two teen daughters in room 2.  Our travel agent booked the rooms under 2 different reservation numbers.  If I buy the 4 Device Voom internet under my reservation, can the package be used by people in the other room?  This is probably an easy question, but I cannot find that info anywhere on the RCCL website. Thanks for your help.
