Officially paid off our very first for Symphony OTS which includes our round trip flights, hotel, and cruise! Still have 3-4 months to go until we sail and I've been staring at my countdown day tracker on the cruise planner haha. I don't know what to do with myself now, i'll twiddle my thumb until sail day i guess lol. Is there anything else to plan for or prepare prior to sailing? I'm looking out for deals for deluxe drink package / the key / excursions but the next significant sale probably won't be until Black Friday / Thanksgiving / Christmas / New Years. I'm starting to wonder why I booked so far out ahead sometimes. The wait will definitely be worth it since it's our very first cruise ever and I've been living vicariously through youtube videos.

and bacchanal / bellagio. I've always stayed with bellagio since my comps work best there. The only two buffets I would go to is either bellagio's or bacchanals. It's hard to compare vegas buffet with windjammer though. Not that is is better than another it's in a different league and can't be compared. Cruise buffet definitely makes up for what they lack with the ocean ambiance also inclusive for the days you stay haha

I know exactly how you feel Jill! I have the same price for symphony OTS sailing in Jan,2020. It has not dropped lower than $65 in the past 2 1/2 months i've been watchingit. Hoping for Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale if not we have thanksgiving/christmas/new years to fall back on for a sale.

Thanks for all the responses and helpful information. From the gist of it all im going to skip all over the above, does not seem to be worth it. In my mind I was picturing them giving away lavish items and cruises for the few selected lucky ones haha.

I was thinking of getting either a new phone or a camera for pictures and recordings too. I'm not too savvy when it comes to photography and was leaning more towards the new iphone 11 since im more familiar with all the functions on there. Not so much on the fancy cameras with weird symbols and what not haha.

I've looked at a couple of cruise compasses for Symphony of the Seas that was uploaded on this website. I wanted a general idea of the events and information regarding the cruise itineraries so I would not be overwhelmed on my first cruise. I've noticed usually on page 2 for the "welcome aboard" section day 1 of the cruise they're telling guest to stop by certain stores for a free welcome gift. Question for the above mentioned: Has anyone actually tackled all the locations on the cruise compass to collect a bunch of free gifts from these locations? (I figured it's my first cruise so I would want to collect some gift as memories/souvenirs) Cruise compass also shows a raffling event where you get an admission to a raffle for the vitality spa AFTER you take the tour. Question for the above mentioned: Has anyone won the $500 worth of spa treatment and know if the tour is required or could I just enter a raffle ticket? The part that really has my interest is the free spin for free prizes under the "welcome aboard" section. I've seen them stating they give 1 free spin per stateroom for a chance to win another cruise, vouchers, OBC, souvenir, and more not listed. Question for the above mentioned: Has anyone won anything from the free spin and what are the details to play? (i.e. location of event, how to claim prize, what can you win)

I sail just right after New years on Jan 4th. Giving us enough time to bring in the New Year and sailing off days after. Extremely excited first time sailing on a cruise ever. Slowly becoming desensitize with the pricing but it was overwhelming at first. We thought "if it's our first time sailing might as well make it amazing" so I booked a OVB cabin and currently hawking cruise planner for deals. So many things we want to add like couples massage, cococay waterpark pass, deluxe drink package, the key, and some onboard activities including sushi class haha. I totaled it out and almost died lol

Symphony of the Seas for Jan, 2020 sailing went down to $57 pppd from $65-67 pppd!!! Let me know if anyone else on Symphony OTS around that sailing frame. I've canceled and booked at that price, fingers crossed some miracle will drop it even lower for Black Friday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years. (Even Halloween if they roll like that haha)

Im glad someone finally asked this question! We're sailing Symphony on Jan 4, 2020 and was wondering the same exact thing. I was hoping they would have coach, LV, or burberry as well. Does anyone know if the shops there will have special edition or exclusive merchandise catered to Royal Caribbean? Is the shop carrying out of season / style merchandise or do they frequently update the store. @GA Cruiser

are there any regulations on hair dryers or can I just bring the one i've been using at home? It's some sort of fancy ceramic / ion one, will they allow this to be brought on board?

Ideally do you know what would be perfect regarding storage if I use my phone for day to day routine and on top for work. E.I scanning documents and emailing. With thousands of pictures and small video snippets of miscellaneous on my current iphone 6s And I have a lot of apps haha.

OOO ok so it looks like maybe I'll just stick with the base iphone 11 model rather than getting the pro or pro max. This information is definitely helpful in my quest to decide on the phone. Since all the kinks is already worked out I'm leaning towards the iphone 11 over the Xr. Do you know what the starting price is for the iphone 11 base compared to iphone xr base?

You were extremely helpful that is exactly what I was looking for. Just wanted something with an updated camera to take decent pictures and recordings on my cruise. I'll shop around and see what catches by eye then! I'm always weary of buying newly release iphone because i've noticed a pattern of them doing major updates or rollbacks because customers all over the world are basically testers and find flaws. I always like to wait out the new electronics to make sure it is properly updated and released with no hassle.

Only thing im curious about though is if the credit card company find this suspicious or fraudulent? Or would they not care as long as they get paid back lol

I'm going to be honest I have no idea what the difference is for all the xr, xs, xs max, pro, etc etc. But how much was the Xr you bought and was it outdated compared to the new one releasing?
