  1. Not sure if anyone is still interested (I just joined these forums today), here is what I found from a very recent cruise of Harmony. Please note they can change at any time: Day 1: Grill Day 2: Crepes Day 3: Indian Day 4: Caribbean Day 5: Mexican Day 6: Mixed Grill/Crepes Day 7: Mongolian Hope this helps. Cheers!
  2. Wow, I was hesitant to post about straws since everyone is being so environmentally friendly, but I feel right at home now in straw-land! I tried the stainless steel straws, and I know some people like them, but I personally don't. I have fancy paper straws, and they disintegrate before I've even finished my drink. I am definitely adding (can I say it? plastic) straws to my packing list. I have the large milkshake ones with a flexible tip - in neon colors. I bought them for about $3.99 at Walmart and they are BPA free!
  3. Thank you for attaching the menu - very helpful. I am aware of the extra charges, I don't think that was it, but it's okay. I have confirmation here on this forum that there is no charge (for the regular menu items). Thank you again for sorting this out for me!
  4. Thank you for clarifying, even if it sounded strange ...lol Much appreciated!
  5. Just adding to this post ... I was looking for them too. Thank you. I came across a post here from June 2019, and the member was also looking for menus. I attached your link for them @delerium98
  6. Hello, I know your post is from June, but hopefully this will help if you do see it ? I will be on HOS in 2020 too. I just found the menus here: MDR menus They are from delirium 98 (thank you). I also read the menus are the same fleet wide - they are subject to change. Also, I went on the app (as other members mentioned here) and picked a similar sailing for HOS with a closer sailing date (pick one in August), and you can see the menus as well. Getting hungry ?
  7. What a nice story, thanks for sharing! I remember those lead-lined bags too!
  8. Oh wow, glad we are not the only ones who think like you do! My husband is already planning his nightly trips to the WJ, just in case the MDR food is not up to par, or he's still hungry! They didn't have theme nights when we cruised, or I don't remember seeing them, so he will be quite excited about this. Cheers!
  9. LOL, I don't feel so bad now about remembering food items from almost a decade ago! When you love food, you do remember! That chilled banana soup must have been quite unique! Ah yes, about the cameras, still remember those rolls of film! I had a tiny digital camera with me on Oasis, but the viewfinder was so tiny. It's not like nowadays ?
  10. Thank you for clarifying. I saw the address on the "to" field and it was an RCI employee, but figured you deleted your own info for privacy (of course)! How long did it take for you to receive a response?
  11. The chilled soups were quite different and refreshing. I remember the one I had on Oasis (a long time ago) quite well. It was watermelon gazpacho! I found a picture of it for you ?
  12. Thank you. I meant if I was in the MDR, but wanted the red velvet cake from Chops, or if I was in Chops, and I wanted the baked Alaska from the MDR. I hope that's not too confusing ... lol I'd feel bad asking our waiter either way, but we're still trying to decide which night to forgo in the MDR, and this would solve our foodie issue!
  13. Our next sailing is Harmony and I recall reading it from the Harmony forums. Perhaps I just read it wrong. Thank you!
  14. That's wonderful. How did you get the confirmation? Via email? Can you advise what time on embarkation day the MDR is open to speak with the head waiter? Thank you!
  15. Hello everyone, I thought there was a charge for dinner in the Solarium? Perhaps I read it wrong on another forum? Is it free in the Solarium bistro, but at cost in the Solarium? Thank you!
  16. Oh wow, I'm so glad to hear they still have this. My husband's favorite, we had it on Day 1 - Oasis of the Seas! He'll be so happy ... lol OMG! Someone please tell me they have this on Harmony of the Seas??? I love apple pie!
  17. What a great idea, thank you. My husband was so uncomfortable with his tie during our last cruise, and with my foot injury, I was worried about not wearing nice sandals with a dress or dress pants. This answered my next question! We only have one specialty dining restaurant in mind, and we actually like the food in the MDR. We tried to figure out which night would be best since we would miss our favorite appetizer, entree and or/dessert! I had no idea you could do this? I certainly wouldn't request it more than once. The waiters have so much on their hands already (pun intended ...lol), and I'd hate to have them run to the MDR kitchen for our request ? Just to confirm, this is for all RCI ships, and it is vice versa? MDR - Specialty Dining?
