  1. Our first towel animal, Marva is taking great care of us. And this is me everytime I pass the next cruise desk! Sea days are dangerous for this reason.
  2. Chiming in here. After resorting to the sea sick patch today was a bit better. Derick hooked us up with the Jesse Hamilton show in the main theater since we missed it yesterday. We requested to sit where @GregD advised. Best seats ever. Drum roll please, the port merchant store had a universal hub. Yes! Charging everything now. Confession time @Lovetocruise2002is the quietest neighbor, we never hear anything with that connecting door. I will sail next to her and her amazing family any day.
  3. I asked about the charging hubs they said no, but I didn't even think about the phone. Thank you! Ugh, phone has nothing. Oh well!
  4. Speaking of dated, there are no USB capabilities for charging. Oh the horror, my watch and ear buds are kaput! I was tearing up the cabin looking. So funny. I'll live though but this ship is so dated ! Lol! Oasis of the seas
  5. Reporting in from 1720. Dreary and cold outside, decided to stay on the ship. This room is lovely and the food does not stop. It's day 2 and I'm like. Please ? No more! Derick is amazing, he is on top of everything yet not to intrusive. I love his style and pace. Last night was the first time in 13 sailings I had to put on my patch the ship as big as it is made me very uncomfortable. I have never felt motion like this, I'm really happy I changed from 14528 because it could have been so much worse. I had hair services yesterday but when I showed up for my appointment they said there was a mistake and they double booked, I booked and paid in full before sailing. Still waiting for my money back. While I was annoyed for one second I thought I'm taking a page from @Lovetocruise2002 and just let it go. With everything she endured to get here and still has the most positive attitude I was not going to complain not one bit! All hail her Majesty Queen of the North! Best attitude ever!!
  6. Welcome to Miami. Our whole group here at the Hilton Downtown was cheering you on. So happy for you and your family, now luggage, let's go!
  7. No rain this morning and winds have subsided, here is hoping you are on the plane, on the way here.. Looking forward to seeing you soon. * piecing together the previous information it looks like your flight is successfully on the way down here, never underestimate the power of prayer and positive energy. Yay, see you soon.
  8. The weather here in Florida is bad, torrential rains and strong winds. It took us all day to get here as Alligator alley was closed and there were so many accidents I stopped counting. It usually takes us 5 hours with fuel stop, rest break to include half of pub sub. Today one fuel break and that was it, 8 + hours later we just arrived. Routing for you all the way...
  9. OMG, Sabrina we are rooting for you. Positive thoughts all the way. Praying for your safe arrival. Come on let's do this, Sabrina I am praying you get here. I will hold the ship.
  10. That's the least I can do. @Lovetocruise2002 pointed me to your blog and I enjoyed it so much. I LOVED the picture of you guys with Derick. We are pretty much letting him steer this ship and will go with the flow, feel like we don't want to be high maintenance either. No parties in the suite, maybe some breakfast on the balcony & I will be taking advantage of the laundry but otherwise we just want to sail in a similar manner as you did. I feel like I know him already after following along with you, Johnny, chicken, high fives...got it!
  11. @Lovetocruise2002 in the spirit of not leaving you high and dry I will add to your thoughts. FYI I can't wait to meet everyone! We met our friends from Nevada through our teen on the first sailing of the Adventure out of the Bahamas in June2021, this will be our third sailing together with our cruise buddies AND they are relocating to Florida in a few months! They are staying in a CLS a few doors down from us, we joined them on this their group 50th birthday sailing. Leave it to the kids to bring families together! It's myself, hubby (who ONLY cruises for me!) & daughter 15. We started in a balcony cabin, then 14528 the Ultimate Panoramic family suite opened up so I grabbed it, first time in Star mind you. Never was interested until Sabrina and @WAAAYTOOOshared their Star experiences. Hubby knows no difference, cost that's all he wants to know, lol! @Sea Squirrel stayed in this suite when we were on the Oasis for Thanksgiving & he was kind enough to share his experience & I was very glad he did. I thought maybe I would switch the cabin if something came up, I was fearful of the motion sickness element especially. Leticia reached out as our assigned Genie and we worked on some scheduling, the Star Loft appeared & I quickly switched as hubby who ONLY sails for me and puts the Cabash on all my RUB's likes 17 the best. So I contacted Leticia & told her we were changing cabins, crickets....then we were contacted by the amazing Derick Martis, Leticia had been moved to the Harmony so he took over from there. I sent him our previous emails and our transition was seamless. We had no idea this was the #MajorStarClassTakeover until @Lovetocruise2002 reached out, a day later Derick also asked if we knew about it, so funny. This is our very first Star sailing so I want to be present to experience all it has to offer, we are such a quiet little family yet we find ourselves ready to meet & greet & share this experience. We are driving to Miami tomorrow, we just stopped & packed the Pub Subs for the 5 hour drive. We are staying at the Hilton Downtown Miami as we are Hilton Gold members & I always choose a room so I can stare at the ships, ( I can choose my own room using the app) there is a great parking garage also keeping our vehicle secure. Our friends from Nevada are staying there also so we will meet the rest of our birthday group Saturday evening. See you at Playmakers on Sunday!
  12. We had the 2 bedroom suite aft on the Adventure deck 8. No noise, little vibration, some soot but views for days. Would stay there again in a heart beat. You will love this location. Have a wonderful sailing.
  13. Here you go, Adventure, Oasis and Odyssey inside suites. I loved the product but the fragrances were a bit strong for me.
  14. Power trip person! We use the same testing facility every time for our obligatory 2 day out antigen and our last sailing on the Odyssey the young lady scrutinized forever saying this isn't good enough, wait what? We already sailed 2 x with testing from the same facility. So nerve racking for no reason, ENOUGH ROYAL, ENOUGH!!!!
  15. I took my chances with the big yellow form, @Sharla ever since! [email protected] Lightening fast response time, secured a price drop while she was on a sailing!
  16. + 1 for @Sharla Seriously, she just secured me a price reduction for my June sailing while SHE was on a cruise! Now that is service. Seriously can't go wrong with the MEI TA's. Sharla Manglass [email protected] 706-742-5358
  17. @WAAAYTOOOI would check out the Poly Club Level. I pulled this today, I would confirm though.
  18. @WAAAYTOOO Pre-covid we stayed concierge level at the Contemporary, the Yacht Club & the Beach Club with their own concierge club. Our favorite was the Yacht Club as the Admiral Suite where we stayed afforded 3 bathrooms and an amazing view of the area and fireworks. Since then we avoid it due to the change in policy of allowing pets, not sure if they still do but the barking and switching of rooms due to odor made us cross that one from the list. We enjoyed the concierge amenities, hopefully Michelle will know but previously you were greeted at the entrance and escorted to the concierge usually upstairs away from the hustle and bustle area where they checked you in and helped make any reservations you could not or did not realize you needed. They did have a picky food breakfast (I know you don't enjoy that) but usually a beautiful on site restaurant for a nice sit down breakfast. They did offer cocktails with hot and cold hors d'oeuvres and evening sweets, usually starting about 1700hrs; actually they had non alcoholic and snacky snacks available all day also, usually until about 2200hrs. All part of the concierge experience. The Contemporary views were incredible for fireworks, the Epcot area views were our favorite. The Beach club probably had the best food, all in all we enjoyed the concierge experience. It was the little things, if it was raining they handed you a poncho if you asked, things like that were nice. Our other concierge experience was the Animal Kingdom Resort but I grew tired of being so far away from everything, but their concierge food offerings were also amazing. I like the Epcot area due to being able to visit even the Swan & Dolphin and walking into that Epcot back entrance, heck you can walk to Hollywood studios also, then take the boat if you wish too! I enjoyed the Contemporary for the proximity to MK, and those other resorts but in my opinion (pre covid I can't speak for now) the concierge seemed to allow me to slow down and really enjoy the experience from more angles. Enjoy, that's a great time to go! Hopefully Michele can confirm concierge amenities, or if the "COVID excuse" is being used to cut back.
  19. Is there a cost when reserving a "private" Karaoke room on board? Anyone been to Bare Foot Beach yet (2022) and have the current price list for the Cabanas?
  20. @Lovetocruise2002 thanks so much Sabrina! Have never made it here yet, it was always canceled. I was wondering about this barefoot beach and the cabanas, now I feel comfortable releasing the cabanas I have at Nellie's and waiting on the concierge email. Here's hoping it warms up by then. Are there beach loungers within Barefoot Beach also? Our friends are sailing with us also in Sky class, the total would be 8 BUT there are two 15 year olds who will be as far away from us as possible, I am happy to have them set up in another location. Do you have an old map image you could share. I'm so appreciative.
  21. @Matt @SpeedNoodles I can't help thinking maybe this thread has run it's course. We are a RCCL fan site ultimately and in my humble opinion I'm not sure anything constructive can be accomplished by keeping this going. Just my 2 cents!
  22. Can we as a community maybe put together an identification of the different Junior Suites on the Odyssey? Calling Royal does not help, their room descriptions do not help. J1, J3. J4 I know equate to berths but the bathroom descriptions are what I would like to feel positive about, arriving at my chosen or assigned cabin I want to avoid a surprise. Is there a tub? Is there a shower? Are there 2 toilets on either side or just one? I was going to book a J1 because I love the aft but it looks like the corner J1 with the large balcony only has one bath, is this the same for the centrally located J1? Thanks everybody! I'm so confused.
  23. Can you request a different product? While the products were of a high quality I am wondering if they have something "unscented"? @WAAAYTOOO any idea?
