THIS My personal feeling as well. My perspective, it sounds great in theory but..... I couldn't wait to visit the Diamond lounge when I first achieved that many sailings, it was on the Oasis. Imagine my disappointment when I entered and saw the venue, just awful. The Oasis class ships have tucked it away in a windowless closet like situation & the Allure, well they roped off the second tier so the venue was super tiny as well. Accept for the Mariner in June 2022 the lounges were at or over capacity during peak times. The little picky foods were destroyed, just a mess. No where to sit and people all huddled around with limited space to walk. Nope, I don't enjoy that. The vouchers are wonderful & I honestly don't even visit the Diamond lounge any more, maybe just to poke my head in to see the venue, or during the day for a quiet place to read. It was very pretty on the Serenade but it was packed like a sardine can, I enjoyed sitting in the Vortex next door so much better. It's a venue I anticipated and looked forward to so much. Reality was very different then my expectations. (Just me, maybe others enjoy it but I think Royal believes it is something it is not, not anymore that's for sure. )

Diamond Plus > lounge denied > Voucher changes in order.

Agree, I would rather have say complimentary internet added to my drink vouchers. Keep the lounge it's over rated. Even the suites lounge is over crowded and not enjoyable. I agree @mk-ultra -
Drink Package - Regarding Water
Neesa replied to Taraks Travels's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Cruise planner usually has a water option. Sometimes we purchase 24 bottles and it's in our cabin upon arrival. We do this in summer months. -
Question please relating to OBC re: next cruise. I went ahead and booked my cruise within the deadline to keep perks, when will that Next Cruise OBC show up? If it's last minute I'll for go paying my gratuity early and use it against that on board.

@BigKarl this goes back to my frequent and consistent complaint lately WHERE ARE THE PARENTS????? Kids/families on cruises and watching their happiness gives me joy, but the lack of parenting seems to be an ongoing theme lately.

Okay so my Ms positive over here is getting salty on your behalf. There is a way to gracefully handle this by Royal and they are missing the boat (pun intended) big time. This is a tough one, at this point for me I would be like I hear you universe, peace out. Can you get a full refund for the sailing even fcc and start fresh? In my little world 6pm dining alleviates the standing in line and waiting for a table at my time, but losing the black Friday deals is making me angry for you. No way that's right. Reach out [email protected] with a calm explanation start with the cruise planner specifics to at least request they respect the pricing you secured. Good luck, I am so rooting for you. We're you able to engage a TA? They could help as well. Positive thoughts coming at you. Royal isn't perfect by any means I am comfortable saying this is not something that is frequent.

No more Diamond Plus access to concierge lounges
Neesa replied to smokeybandit's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
As long as my 5 vouchers remain, I'm happy. The lounge is great, but I will take the vouchers remaining over the lounge loss, and the Diamond lounge is still available so not really a lost amenity. When the voucher times email arrived, I admit my breath hitched, I was like oh no, please don't take away my vouchers. I'm pretty happy with the loyalty amenities. While the pins taking over the suite lounge when I'm in a suite isn't ideal, I don't book a suite for the suite lounge so if it gives them joy so be it. Most of them are super sweet, and the jerky entitled ones we ignore, win, win, win! -
Is there lemonade or other drinks available
Neesa replied to Safemike1's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
For what it's worth they serve complimentary ice tea as well, I ask for un sweetened and it's oddly bitter yet oddly slightly sweet. It's just weird. I actually enjoy the lemonade though. The ships water isn't terrible either. I usually get ice water with every meal. -
Trouble with booking a large group
Neesa replied to Karen Wardle's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
@Karen Wardle if it's been inside of 30 days go to the home page here and fill in the particulars. I use @Sharla [email protected] and her email communications are lightening fast. But if you are comfortable submit the info and someone will reach out here as well, this is how i met Sharla. Good luck with your planning, hoping for you it's within 30 days since you started this process and they will get things sorted ASAP. -
@smokeybandit that's great! I think its a nice itinerary, and 8 nights should be a nice Holiday. I will hide a duck outside your cabin....don't trip on it!! There's a great video on that grand suite ....

@Sharla to the rescue! June 7, 2024 8 night southern with coco cay, under 8K Adventure of the Seas. I sent her an email to book it 0500 this morning and it was booked before 0800hrs. Seriously impressed, she used my Next Cruise certificate as well. I was just nervous because I wanted that Royal suite on that itinerary in June, only one Yay Sharla!!!
-
@Lovetocruise2002 I sent Sharla an email but can I put something on hold myself until she gets to it? Do I just call?
-
@teddy I was sure it would be today thought they would be loaded last night. I sent @Sharla an email with what to be on the look out for, armed her with my Next Cruise and nothing....Gees. I thought when that previous fagezze "sale" was done the release would be on its heels. Fingers crossed its tomorrow I don't know how much more I can take!! LOL!! Seriously how is it I can't wait to hand over my money? To add insult to injury, my reading for this weekend. I need to book this before reading for sure, page two probably says, don't cruise!

The universe has her reasons. You just may enjoy the similar itinerary as well. Focus on the positives of this trip, and make the best of it with those you hold dear. Enjoy every minute of the experience, so very disappointing express your sadness maybe they toss in some OBC or a nice dinner. I have learned in my 50 + years on the beautiful earth in a situation such as this to be positive and go with it, tell yourself this was meant to be and I'm going to have the best holiday! What ever you choose, I wish you happiness

Odyssey of the Seas - Mixed Bag Review (Dec 3- 11, 2022)
Neesa replied to dmattinson's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
@dmattinsonThank you so much for sharing. I like you enjoy the Oasis class just a bit better. Wasn't a fan of the Book and had the same experience at the 270 Cafe which we visited frequently as I really enjoyed the offerings. (12/2021) She is a very pretty ship but a one and done for me. The WJ was very pretty on this ship. We thought it offered amazing seating options as well.. With the flooding floor did they offer to move you to another cabin? Give you OBC? Was it an issue in all accessible cabins on this class? -
Lowest price you’ve found for Star Class?
Neesa replied to Sunny_D's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Yes this! Sunny, this is why I tried it. Well, was I missing out? Also the amazing fun filled Star Class posts by others sounded amazing. I am so glad we did it, but I love Sky, that is our Suite spot. We require very little, and sometimes I was overwhelmed by everything. Don't get me wrong, if I found a great price I would consider again but I can sail 2X for the price of one Star sailing in Sky probably 2.5 on another class of ship. We are D+ so we have great amenity with that. I enjoyed the Star experience I did, but it was a total splurge for me. I find more fun and value being/feeling like I am just a little more fiscally conservative. It's amazing for sure, but I'm my own genie -
No more Diamond Plus access to concierge lounges
Neesa replied to smokeybandit's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
OMG so funny. One lovely lady had it on her shirt and tattooed on her ankle in addition to a big anchor necklace, she beamed with pride which made me smile. They are very territorial when it comes to that lounge. -

No more Diamond Plus access to concierge lounges
Neesa replied to smokeybandit's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
On our Serenade sailing while staying in a suite we were greeted by a letter from the C&A ambassador stating as D+ we were not permitted in the concierge lounge. There were 39 pins on board and the concierge lounge was standing room only from about 1530 until maybe 1900. It emptied out by then. The Diamond lounge across the way was just as crowded, the concierges had lines at their desks constantly. I felt that the suite amenity was impacted greatly, just charge me less for the suite and make it a Pinnacles lounge. It was mostly uncomfortable in that tiny space. -

Neesa replied to Sunny_D's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I agree with @WAAAYTOOOin the fact that the "good" SC fares are gone, but lately I feel the same about most of the offerings, just so much more then we have ever paid. My experience was the "cheapest" SC was the Panoramic Suite at the front of the Oasis of the Seas. That one is the first one I booked that I felt I could fiscally wrap my head around. A Star Loft opened last minute for not much more that sailing & I had FCC burning a hole in my pocket at the time, so I sailed in that one but at the end of the day my research had that suite ( the panoramic front one) coming in the lowest. It was a spring break sailing. To clarify the Ultimate Panoramic on deck 14
